2 out of 5 eggsDidn't work as I hoped

Pros: It's made by Crucial

Cons: I bought this pair of modules for my mothers MacBook -- hoping that it would speed things up. The RAM does not make any difference in speeds, and I am down $80.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Enables my mid-2010 MacBook Pro to be able to operate with multiple applications running. And it goes smoothly alongside a ssd. No issues installing; an easy plug and play product.

Cons: Zero.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Unibody MacBook 2.26GHz

Pros: Perfect fit and no errors on start up. OS X 10.9 uses it with great efficiency! Call me a fanboy if you want to: Mavericks is the best Apple OS yet.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Should have bought it earlier!

5 out of 5 eggsSpeed Up your Late 2008 Aluminum MacBook!

Pros: Since updating to OS 10.9, my Macbook - the original late 2008 aluminum version - was lagging like crazy. Constant SPODs. It was usable, but annoying. Simply scrolling down a webpage caused unbearable lag. After installing 8GB of this memory into it, it runs like an entirely new system. Menus pop open immediately, and switching between tasks is significantly improved. Obviously not as fast as a new system, but it is a tremendous improvement.

Cons: Many sites including the official Apple site still show this Macbook being limited to 4gb. A firmware update quite some time ago allows 8gb. Also, pay attention to the screws on the bottom of this particular Macbook - there are actually three different sizes (there are three long screws, and many short ones - and the short ones have two unique widths.) Obviously, care must be taken that they go back in the right place.

Other Thoughts: I knew the performance would improve with an upgrade in RAM, but I was skeptical as to how much. I now regret not upgrading sooner - it really is a great improvement. Installation took about 10 minutes - most of that was looking for a screwdriver small enough for those little screws.

4 out of 5 eggsNot too shabby.

Pros: Definitely got an increase in performance. Going from 2GB to 8GB you'll notice it. Just remember the speed in which the RAM is accessed is the same so it will clip a bit, but no more annoying pinwheel loading.

Cons: Only con so far is losing about an hour off battery life.. which is fine because Im usually at school but keep this in mind.

Other Thoughts: Easy to install. Happy with my purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Pros: Worse like a charm in my 2010 MacBook (version 7,1)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Went through 2 sets of G. Skill memory that were likely mislabeled with incorrect speed. Told that I did not appropriately update the motherboard drivers. Installed this memory and it worked like a charm.

5 out of 5 eggsWORKS ON MACBOOK 5.1 aluminum unibody

Pros: It works, it's the exact same speed, now I can play team fortress 2 on my aging Macbook.

Cons: If you own a Mac, regular laptop memory will last about a week. So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you get memory specified for Mac computers. Don't make the mistake I did.

Other Thoughts: Also, getting this MacBook was a mistake but that was 2008 and I was lacking computer/ computer components knowledge.
