2 out of 5 eggsWas great, while it lasted.

Pros: Did the job, was a decent price (at the time)

Cons: Only lasted about 4 months before it died and became corrupted.

Other Thoughts: Replaced with a larger better value for your dollar Mushkin and haven't looked back.

5 out of 5 eggsFast, easy, and very reliable

Pros: The best way to speed up your computer, if you don't already have one, is to put in an SSD. I've been using this for some time now and it has been everything I hoped for. My computer is older, using SATA 3, and this SSD gave it new life. I plan to install it in a new computer build and I expect the same awesome performance and reliability that I've grown to expect with the Crucial brand.

Cons: Newegg is forcing me to list cons. The only con is the same one with all SSD's and that is size/cost. Yeah, it's a little more expensive, but it is worth every penny. It would be nice to have a larger one for the same money, but that will just take some time.

Other Thoughts: At this moment in time, I would not recommend any brand over Crucial. The drive just plugs in and works. The computer runs it fast and quiet. The earlier generations of SSD tended to have reliability issues, but I don't see that here. I've been running it for some time now with zero problems. I've been running it along side an HDD in the computer, and as long as it is configured right, the HDD is used only a handful of times each day.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat was expected UPDATE 3/5/16 Other

Pros: Using this with an z87x mobo and linux Mint 17. Linux benchmark (Disk) shows 540 mb read @.05 access time. Can't do write becnmark on disk with data on it or I will forfiet data.

Cons: price
Crucial does not support linux, so firmware updates will have to be done with windbloes.

Other Thoughts: Love the speed, hate the price, otherwise works with no problems.
Crucial does not support linux, so firmware updates will have to be done with windbloes.
This will affect my decision as to what brand ssd I will buy next.

UPDATE: 3/5/16
I have used this drive every day with Linux Mint 17+ for the last 14 months with absolutely no problems. This includes running trim every day. The speed and access time has not changed in all this time. The SMART data shows no read errors or reallocated sectors.

5 out of 5 eggsNice ssd

Pros: Inexpensive, I think it was around $80 when I got it, working great, sata III is nice. Year+ no issues.

Cons: No cons, but the backing of the SSD is paper which is very weird. Would've preferred solid metal.

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality

Pros: + Excellent Built Quality from CRUCIAL
+ Excellent Performance
+ Excellent price point
+ Specifications are way under rated, read the review
+ Reliability & Encryption

Cons: non so far. I do hope these drives last for couple of years.

Other Thoughts: For the price point as compare to others, this is an excellent performance SSD.

Updated: I purchased this drive in March 2014 from Newegg and drive still works flawless.

5 out of 5 eggsRock solid SSD

Pros: Reliability. Crucial has developed a well-earned reputation over the years. 'It just works'.

Cons: Not the fastest drive on the market. But you'll be hard pressed to tell unless you're running disk benchmarks all day.

Other Thoughts: Highly recommended.

5 out of 5 eggsCrucial SSD

Pros: I bought this drive over a year ago for more space, it has been working great since I purchased for an older system. Purchased on one of Newegg sales for a great price. No issues to date. Though it isnt as fast as todays SSD's, I would recommend it.

Running on a Win10 system that was upgraded fromWin 7.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: bought two of these drives to use as OS drives. In 3 months will be 2 years. I have not had one single issue of reliability. Both systems run full time and havent been powered down for a combined total of 24 hours in the 2 years ive used them.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: Sorry I dont have any benchmarks - they out perform traditional drives so much I didnt even worry about getting real world numbers. Windows 7 boots in less than a minute - and fully installed games totally scream.
