5 out of 5 eggsGreat product!

Pros: Fast

Cons: Price

Other Thoughts: I have been using this drive for over a year and it has been working very good. It is fast, friendly software (From Intel) and have had no issues at all.

I am using this in a gaming build pc and it runs everything smoothly.

Copying files is very fast as well.

No complaints other than the price, but then again it is from Intel, but it is a excellent well built SSD.

Would recommend to anyone looking for a good SSD that will last.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade

Pros: While it's not the fastest SSD out there it is fast enough and reliable. There are no real downsides. If you're still using 7,200 or 10,000 rpm hdd you really need to upgrade to SSD.

Cons: Wish I had bought two or went with a 512GB Intel SSD.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's Intel

Pros: This is my first SSD, and I am impressed by the speed. It takes Windows 7 about 10 seconds to load from off to ready-to-use.

Cons: None

1 out of 5 eggsGreat till it fails

Pros: Performance as expected for a SSD

Cons: Drive runs warm/hot. My drive failed after 6 months of only occasional use (as use it to move files to / from office once per week).

Other Thoughts: I have 2 crucial SSD that run completely cool - not sure what in the design of this drive causes the heat (which likely leads to failure).

5 out of 5 eggsThe best for the price!

Pros: Everything is a pro with one or two of these (or even more if you have RAID-capable ports to spare)! I am running two in a RAID0 and am getting 1GB/sec random reads/writes via AIDA64.

Cons: Cons? For $265 and the best random access times in the business, plus 1GB/sec sustained transfer rates... you won't see me complaining quite yet : )

Other Thoughts: Why buy one when you can buy two for double the price!

Either way, you won't regret the purchase.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Quick

Pros: Very quick and stable. Haven't had any issues with speed or with reliability or losing data

Cons: A little on the pricey side compared to it's competition. It's kind of get what you pay for though.

5 out of 5 eggsSolves a number of issues...

Pros: Superfast, Runs Cool, Solves Many Issues

Cons: None so far. Sure, the price seems high, but it's worth every penny.

Other Thoughts: Perhaps I should wait longer to review this, but I'm too excited. This is my first SSD. It has surpassed all my expectations.

Every other review is focusing on the speed. It is incredibly fast. The boot time alone is now a fraction what is was with my old hard drive. Photoshop loads in seconds.

The best improvement by far is temperature. My overall computer temperature is 15-20 degrees (C) lower than it was. That's a huge improvement.

Also, knock on wood, nothing at all has crashed since making the switch. NOTHING. That can't be a coincidence.

240 GB is a major step down capacity-wise from my old 500gb hdd, but that's why I have an external. All my junk can go on there, an I'll use this for essentials.

Great Buy, Highly Recommend!

5 out of 5 eggsVery Happy

Pros: Very nice. Love the Intel interface and the simple firmware updating.

Cons: Plastic ring on top of the SSD. It's fine if you use the included mount, but not so good if you put this in a dual bay SSD mount. Voided the warranty to take off the plastic ring and shave down the screws and re-attach the plate. This is not Intel's fault as the SSD is great. I just wish they had it included as some sort of clip on/off option.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat SSD, even for a noob

Pros: Makes my OS and programs run real quick and snappy. Barely see the Windows loading screen. All start programs are instantly on by the time you log in. Not used to having everything pop up at once, but definitely a delightful surprise. Not gonna complain about it being too fast.
Had about a good weeks of use of installing, and past couple days been using it heavily for video editing, after effects, and photoshop. So far it's holding up well.
Came with handy software to monitor the status of your drive.

Cons: Not really a con but had to format the drive in Windows.

Other Thoughts: I've had several computer builds under my belt, but the last computer I made was back in 2002/2003. So yeah, technology has changed quite a bit since then. I bought this to be my OS drive and run programs such as Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
I built a brand new system, individual components from Newegg, and hooked up the ssd, and the system wouldn't post. Went through the entire system check process, and everything was working fine. Then I read you had to format the drive and in order to do that easily, was through an OS (Windows/OSX). So I took one of the drives, that I originally intended to be as my scratch disk, and had to boot Windows there, then format/initialize the ssd. Then I had to transfer and boot from the ssd, and reformat my original scratch disk.
Unfortunately for me, I didn't have an extra rig for me to format the ssd in. If I did, it would've saved me some time and a couple of f bombs.
I'm sure this is common knowledge now for many system builders, but this was new to me. Like I said, last build was back in 02/03. Which is ancient in tech time.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: I have had this in my main desktop for awhile now and it is just amazing. I have had no issues with it.

Cons: I want more of these!

Other Thoughts: The reason why I went with intel for an ssd is not just because of the speed, but also because of the reliability and how stable they are. Their are others like OCZ that have same specs and cheaper, but Intel lasts way longer then other SSDs.
