5 out of 5 eggsdv7-4171us

Pros: Running fine with dv7-4171us triple-core phenom II N850.
(15.2gb usable)

Cons: It only showed 7gb usable on first install. I removed and swapped the modules 15.2gb usable.

5 out of 5 eggsMo Power Captain!

Pros: Didn't make my MacBook Pro 8,1 2011 that much faster but I can open more programs (i.e. all) and they work smoothly while running Netflix and dvd at the same time. No choppy video like before. Also...less rainbow wheel of time and death. Less page swapping, now I always have at least 12gb of memory free.
Actual rating 3.5 eggs for performance plus 1.5 eggs for price!

Cons: Not much faster than 4gb.
Not sure... but my Mac seems to consume more battery life on stand by.
Before upgrading the memory, If I left my Mac overnight in sleep mode/clamshell closed. Battery life was only 1% or 2% lower from where I left off.
Now with 16gb upgrade battery life is anywhere from 17% to 24% lower.
Maybe it's the age of the Macbook it was made way back in 2011, haha.
So if you are power conscious get the 10600 memory it is only 1.35volts not 1.5v like the 10666.
Also if you want to make up the power loss switch to a Solid State hard drive. You will gain more than enough power to make up the difference. 15-30% more battery life.

Other Thoughts: An solid state hard disk is a better choice for an upgrade but for the price you cant beat this upgrade!
Especially if you do video and graphics modeling or gaming.
Cheap upgrade.
Still get a SSD!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Stuff!!

Pros: I ran memtest the day I got it and have no errors. A classmate paid $82.99 for the G.Skill 16GB kit. I saved a little money and am very satisfied. Mushkin is very good quality memory. If you're have doubts about getting it, DON'T! Just buy it and enjoy.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Money well spent.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks as well in Mac Mini 2011

Pros: - Costs less than memory specifically designated for Apple or Mac computers and is no different
- Worked the first time I installed it
- Machine stability identical to when I had the Apple original memory (completely stable)

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I purchased this memory based on the specifications provided by Apple for my Mac Mini 2011 (2.7GHz dual core i7 model) and compared the price to identically spec'd modules designated specifically for Mac computers. These modules cost much less and I wondered if there were any differences not noted in the specs but after weeks of continuous use I can confidently state that these Mushkin modules work perfectly fine, installed with no issues or config, and are completely stable (no less stable than when the lower density models that came with the mini were installed). In other words it works perfectly fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Rams

Pros: I made a memtest as soon as I got the rams. I did with "memtest all 2" with single user mode and in terminal windows twice. I didn't get any error. All tests resulted with there is no errors. I put it on 15" macbook pro early 2011.

Cons: no cons so far.

Other Thoughts: I had no idea when I was buying these rams. I saw some comments and they ere saying it was worth to buy them. I took a risk and purchased instead of corsair. And I agree it was worth to have a risk.
