5 out of 5 eggsAs advertised

Pros: Good ram, looks nice in my rig. The cooling aspect of it nice.

Cons: Some issues during the install, not going to doc an egg though, as this did not directly interfere with the performance of the actual ram.

Other Thoughts: Due to height of the ram and my CPU heat sink, I had to place the ram on the outer slots. Initial boot was fine. ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z - puts the ram at 1333 on initial boot. Simple fix, placed it back to 1866.

After about the 15 mins, I started encountering the bsod. After a small amount of time consulting my crystal ball, I discovered it was a ram issue. Dropped back into the bios (love the bios with this mobo) and discovered that the timing was all mucked up. Something like 9-9-9-24. Once again, easy fix. Also set the voltage at 1.65.

So, in an effort to save others time, after you install the ram, immediately hit up your bios. Make changes, play games. w00t.

5 out of 5 eggsGood memory

Pros: Works as advertised. Looks good and has a beefy feel to it. The metal on top of it is detachable, thought not sure for what.

Cons: None yet

Other Thoughts: Just dropped it into my system upgrade. Bios had it auto set to 1333, switched it to 1866. Not a big deal. Though what tossed me for a loop was that the cas latency was all messed up. Had a couple bosd, and it more or less showed a ram issue. Went in and fixed the timings, and thus far no issues. Also jacked up the voltage to 1.65. Everything is running stable. May sound like this is a con, but at the end of the day, didn't bother me as collectively it took about 2 mins to fix.
