5 out of 5 eggsWorks like a charm

Pros: Has worked terrifically for me for nearly a year with no problems at all. Quick on startup and with reads and writes, and at a good price.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsFAST!

Pros: Fast.

Cons: N/A

Other Thoughts: I didn't trust SSDs for years after having my first one fail in a month. I recently read that some manufacturers don't adhere to Intel's specs causing multiple problems. Seems the technology has ironed out the bugs for the most part, and this drive is going strong. From power on to login screen is maybe 7 seconds if that long. I am very impressed and will continue to keep an eye on SSD prices.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic SSD at blazing speeds!

Pros: With installing Windows 7, drives, and 21GB of files, and so many gig's worth of updates, this SSD has worked super fast! Like seriously, 4GB of photos can be complete within 4-5 minutes. When I open up my files everything loads in milliseconds. It is absolutely amazing what a difference this makes, everything is opening up without me having to wait a few seconds for it.

Cons: There are currently no problems/issues I have experienced yet. I highly recommend this SSD as it is really good and anything with the Corsair brand name is great!

Other Thoughts: I used to have a 640GB HDD in my laptop which was purchased back in 2011. An HP Pavilion G7 1260us. This laptop supposedly had some restrictions on what you could use, but this SSD works perfectly fine with it!

4 out of 5 eggsCorsair LS 240GB

Pros: Sleek design, SSDs are durable and easy to use.

Cons: Cheap plastic used (vs. the Crucial M500 I bought protected by a metal casing)

Other Thoughts: Not that fast for a SSD

5 out of 5 eggsVery fast boot times

Pros: 7.9 Disk score in Windows 7 64 bit. I wanted a SSD to boot my compact mATX system. I use this system in a truck that I drive over the road. Data or storage drive is a WD Black 1.5 TB unit shared between both 32 and 64 bit Windows 7. I partitioned the drive to use 60 % for 64 bit and the remainder for 32 bit. I still a lot of older Windows games I play that don't get along with a 64 bit OS.

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: System specs (yeah parts of it are old, but they work fine)
Rosewill case (do not remember model but it is 13.8" tall)
Asus M4A88T-M AM3 motherboard
AMD Phenom II 840 3.2Ghz quad-core processor
8 GB Gskill Sniper DDR3 1333 memory 9-9-9-28 (had 16GB but one stick has a scratch on a contact and doesn't always work so I took 2 4GB sticks out)
this drive Corsair LS series 240GB partitioned 97.6 GB for Win7 32 bit and 125 GB for Win7 64 bit.
WD 1.5 TB black for use with both OS's
AMD Radeon R9 270 2GB (bought open box from Newegg)
When it arrives I will put Premiertek PT-H9DN-ROC wifi adapter with it for use in my truck. Truck stops typically only wireless "G" access anyway so that will work great.

Windows Experience scores Win7 64bit
Processor 7.4
Memory 7.4
Graphics 7.9
Gaming Graphics 7.9
Primary HD 7.9

32 bit only Primary HD score changes, it drops to 7.1
Probably because it is in the secondary partition.

System is strong enough to run Dragon Age Inquisition which is what I felt like I needed.

2 out of 5 eggsSkip this if you're a Mac owner - Apple users beware

Pros: Good speed for the price.

Cons: Constant disk errors with OSX. After every few boots the disk would need re-formatted as it was riddled with disk errors. I thought perhaps it was my disk image although my samsung SSD had no issues so I ran stock OSX with no load files and the same thing happened. I contacted Corsair and they were a complete pain to deal with. They had robotic answers and it was like speaking with a computer. They clearly were reading solutions from a screen and copy and pasting without fully understanding or having anywhere near the know-how you'd expect. Their only solution was to exchange it, which I did, and I had the exact same problems with the 2nd copy. Therefore I must conclude the issue is with this drive and OSX and not just a bad copy. Their support again wanted me to exchange it for a 3rd copy, I was done wasting my time so I returned this and got another Samsung and have been up and running flawlessly. I don't know what was more disappointing, the drive or the support? This really deserves a 1 star but if you're a windows user you may be OK so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and bumped it up to 2 stars.

1 out of 5 eggsawful speed

Pros: Corsair has it's own free migration software
"Corsair SSD Toolbox"

Cons: slowest MLC SSD I see
Read speed is about 390 MB/s
Write speed is about 300 MB/s

Price is way too high for such piece of junk

Before test I make sure my firmware is updated
Corsair SSD Toolbox software has "Overprovision" tool to increase the speed, but it' s does not help. I set Overprovision up to max 64gb
Corsair SSD Toolbox software also has "Trim" to increase the speed, but, again, it' s does not help

Other Thoughts: Do not waste your money,
I have a Samsung SSD and announced speed for it is completely right.
Basically Corsair lye about announced speeds which are 560MB/s (read) and 535MB/s (write). Real write speed is almost twice lower
I'm very disappointed with such SSD, besides I can not return it back to NewEgg because I use a rebate and cut the package.

2 out of 5 eggsSLOW!!!

Pros: reasonable price

Cons: Boy, aint this thing slowwwwww!!! Molasses SSD!! I've had quite a few SSDs from Samsung to Intel to Kingston. This one is the slowest ever, in fact, app installation isn't any faster than HD although loading is fast.

Other Thoughts: My first SSD Kingston V100 is faster than this. Ugh, regret getting it. Too lazy to RMA. Corsair is NOT what they used to be! This might be the last Corsair I get.

I have a feeling the Corsair's management team has issues.
