5 out of 5 eggsNever can have TOO Much Memory

Pros: Different brand but worked with existing 4GB chip to give 12GB total memory and the machine is now much faster when multitasking. The packaging was not overly large yet protected the chip, resulting in less waste in shipping and disposal/recycle.

Cons: At this point in time, none.

Other Thoughts: The laptop is an HP 350G1, i5 Win 7 Pro downgrade from 8.1; used for business & personal. I couldn't find an 8GB from the existing manufacturer so I matched the specs, hoping it would be compatible.

On the install, I first removed the 4GB & installed the Kingston 8GB in the first slot and booted with no problem. I then installed the 4GB in the second slot and booted. I lucked out and now have a total of 12GB which, at this time, is more than adequate. If I need more, I'll replace the 4GB with a matching Kingston 8GB.
