5 out of 5 eggsGreat value for bakcup

Pros: Fast, not too loud, and powers off with the computer.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: The power plug is really long. But the nice thing is the plug into the AC outlet is a regular plug, not a giant box. About 4 feet up the wire is the transformer box. The benefit with this design is you dont block up excessive space on a power strip with a giant square box, or hang a heavy box in a wall outlet.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat hard drive

Pros: Small, easy to use, pretty quiet, fast transfer speeds.

Cons: This is a PORTABLE hard drive and therefore DOES NOT need a total cord length of like 10 feet. I haven't measured it but it's seriously way too much.

Other Thoughts: This is a pretty good hard drive for the price if you don't have too much stuff to store. Obviously a 1TB drive would have a cheaper price per GB, but 250 is all I'll need personally.

3 out of 5 eggsNot So Great

Pros: 250gb HD space, portable

Cons: starts to fail after about a year of use

Other Thoughts: I loved this HD when my ex bought it for me over a year ago but now I'm at the point that I have to run chkdsk about twice a month to be able to access my data without getting a delayed write file error. I've always had problems with WD drives and this will be the last one I ever own. I'm sticking with my Maxtor OneTouch

4 out of 5 eggsa trooper

Pros: now as some of you may know, torrenting in general is pretty rough on hard drives. well this thing has been on since the day i bought it and it hasnt skipped a beat. the fact that it hasn't failed for over a year is impressive to me. i honestly expected at the speeds i download and upload at that i would've been in the market for a new one by now.

Cons: now i can't say that the performance of the drive is top notch, but what can you expect from an external. its not gonna be like getting a raptor.

Other Thoughts: for a guy like me that puts his hard drive through hell, this one will stand up to the challenge.

5 out of 5 eggsHighly recommend

Pros: Cheap drive, easy to use. Have used frequently for over a year and no problems.

Cons: No firewire connection. Would be nice to have as a bonus for faster transfer of very large files, but not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Western Digital and Newegg are awesome!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat drive

Pros: Very good drive. Works. No driver needed. Universal interface (USB). Works like a flash drive. Elegant design. Several ways of placing it. LEDs are not obtrusive. On/Off switch simply works. Turns on/off automatically. Turns off after 10 min of inactivity.

Cons: Isn't powered thru USB. Shame. I would've like it more - Even if that meant another USB (or 2) cables...Regardless good drive.

Other Thoughts: Get it. It's a nice drive. Won't look ugly on your desk. Doesn't break the bank. Spend twenty bucks more and get the 500gb version.

2 out of 5 eggsMaybe not the best thing

Pros: Good styling. Cheap.

Cons: Button is a bit flimsy compared to my seagate. Old USB connection. Broken

Other Thoughts: Having heard relatively good things about this I recommended it to my brother. Now, I'm playing tech support. Not only did the thing break after 2 months with hardly any use, there is no way to wipe the drive before sending it in for replacement other than taking a magnet to it. Not very happy experience.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Hard Drive

Pros: Fairly compact, easy to operate, stays cool during use, cable lengths are pretty good , and sticky pegs provide stability and prevent scratching

Cons: Transfer speeds slow down when running programs that take up a decent amount of processing power and there is no eSATA support

Other Thoughts: Makes a fairly light clicking noises at times, power light can be annoying as it constantly blinks while transferring files, bland design
