Your passport to data portability is here. The Western Digital 60MB USB 2.0 external hard drive carries your data in a compact, glossy, fast package. Its small (0.6" x 5.1" x 3.2") size lets you carry it easily in your pocket or purse. Since it's powered by the USB connection you don't need to worry about carrying around extra cables, any standard A-B USB 2.0 cable will work.
WD Sync and Google (Windows only) software make it easy to manage the data on the drive. The Sync software allows you to work on multiple computers and sync all the changes onto your main computer.

Great Portable Backup Drive!
- Pros: Product works great, doesn't reach maximum transfer rate, but thats due to the HDD limitations. Small and portable, plug and play, and also.. does not need external power supply, which is a big PLUS for me.
- Cons: None except the short short cable, get a USB extension cord. If you have a laptop, the length is just fine.
- Other Thoughts: Ignore the user's post below, the person obviously has no idea what he/she is talking about. His/her antivirus scanner picked up the Google Toolbar as a Virus/Malware. As the Google Toolbar can easily be removed, it is being detected as a generic "virus/malware" due to the fact that it is a toolbar. So rating the product a 1 because of that is ridiculous, especially when the person has no clue on what he/she is talking about.
Very Sweet Drive
- Pros: Very Great Drive for backing up your important data, its not as big as it looks in the picture, it plugs into the USB port but it shows up like a normal drive (like the C drive) instead of a portable drive

- Other Thoughts: Very useful for Students or anyone who wants a drive that can be taken away with them

Attractive Paperweight
- Pros: None
- Cons: Died after a month.
great reliable drive even for virtual machines
- Pros: Reliable, Small size, no exteral power source needed, Fast for USB 2.0

- Other Thoughts: Very fast and reliable drive. I use this mainly for storage and backup, but have used it for VMWare Fusion virtual machines. I have this drive as well as the older 60gb model and have had no problems with either. If you are looking for file storage and backup this is a great drive. I love not having to plug it into the wall like the larger external drives. For virtual machines I would recommend a faster firewire 400 or 800 drive.
Poor Software
- Pros: Portable, works on macs and PCs, is hotswappable and does not require a power source other than through the USB connection.
- Cons: The WD sync software is garbage. I purchased this primarily because I was interested in its syncing capabilities and no external power source. The software does not recognize new subfolders that have been added to currently "syncd" folders. Also, if one of the drives you sync is disconnected, the sync software will delete the files from the drive. This is poor design in my opinion.
- Other Thoughts: Don't purchase for the sync capability. Buy only if you want to use as a drag and drop, plug and play device.
