5 out of 5 eggs3 Years Strong

Pros: I have two of these in a raid 0 array, and I use my computer for an average of 10 hours a day, every day for the last 3 years. I have not had the slightest issue out of these drives.

I have noticed the latest batch seem to be a high DOA %, but WD is a solid company that produces great products. I will buy more from them in the future.

Cons: The cache is small and the speeds are slow.

Other Thoughts: I have abused these drives for several years and they have taken everything I could throw at them. I am really impressed with their lifespan.

5 out of 5 eggs>1 year still working great

Pros: I've been using this since October 2011 as a secondary drive (use a Samsung 128 SSD for prime), but it's heavily used to store movies (not many at 320gb but still) and documents and it's still fast considering not SSD.

Cons: None.

Pros: Installed as a master drive in a build for a customer. Great, reliable performance for what it is, running in a system based on a Core 2 Quad Q6600 and XFX 680i LT motherboard. No complaints from the customer.

2 out of 5 eggsLasted just under 3 years

Pros: Decent bang for the buck.

Cons: Didn't even last 3 years.

Other Thoughts: Just had a repeat customer bring their PC to me for repairs. Turns out the hard drive failed. I checked my order history and the drive wasn't even 3 years old. I expected better from Western Digital. I see there are alot of refurbs of this drive for sale now. I'm thinking this particular model was prone to failure.
