5 out of 5 eggs2 years and no problems

Pros: Works great, nearly doubled the hard drive space of old drive

Cons: None that I can think of.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this hard drive well over two years ago for use in my in-laws Dell Latitude D610 laptop computer. They didn't need the space, but I wanted to future proof the laptop and put in a drive that was new and had a warranty. Also I wanted to use the old 40GB to put in an old laptop so I could sell it.

So far the drive has been working great, with use and abuse almost every single day. In fact I just put a fresh install of Windows 7 on the computer and will be expecting several more years of use out of a machine that many would have trashed years ago.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Replacement

Pros: Very affordable for a legacy device. Improved boot times and overall operating speed considerably. Been running close to two years strong and it's still as quiet and dependable as ever.

Cons: None that I can find this is a solid drive.

Other Thoughts: This was a replacement drive for an older Dell Latitude Laptop. Even though it

5 out of 5 eggsGood all around

Pros: Best price I could find, free shipping, delivered in two days, plugged it in and installed windows with no problems.

Cons: PATA is an old style (I guess) so there are not a lot of choices out there, but if you're repairing an old lap top like I did it is either PATA or nothing.

Other Thoughts: Dell was willing to charge me $20.00 more plus shipping for an 80gb, or $40.00 more for the 120gb.

5 out of 5 eggsGood HDD

Pros: It's a hard drive. It works fine.

Cons: Antiquated form factor, but that's why I chose it.

Other Thoughts: I installed this in an old Dell laptop .

5 out of 5 eggsalmost a month and working great

Pros: Good amount of capacity and value for a 2.5" PATA / IDE drive. The Installation went very smoothly without any hiccups and a fairly faster read and write speed than the original HD in my Dell m500 laptop. 90% of my time was reinstalling Windows.

Cons: I can't think of anything negative to say about this drive.

Other Thoughts: If you have an older laptop with a dead HD, or you want to upgrade, this is definitely a good option for a diy installation.

5 out of 5 eggsStill running

Pros: Still working 3+ years on, no complaints.

Cons: It's PATA - but if you're looking at this that's probably what you want.

Other Thoughts: Ordered this drive back in April 2008 to replace my laptop's original drive, which had started sprouting bad sectors.

I continued to use that laptop heavily as my primary machine for a little over a year, and it's still my secondary/portable comp to this day. This hard drive is still inside it and is still working fine.

1 out of 5 eggsPaid for Next Day - Got 3 days later. Was DOA.

Pros: No Pros here. See Cons. Lots of 'em.

Cons: Ordered on Tuesday.
Paid 20 bucks for next day air.
Arrived 3 days later. Did I say THREE days later?
Took more than 48 hours for them to get it to UPS.
Drive was DOA.
I found the bad sectors.
S.M.A.R.T. also was reporting failure.
I have owned a PC repair business for 9 years, I know how to test a HDD.

Other Thoughts: I will call NewEgg in the morning and after the phone call, I will report to you how I am treated. I hope to my full satisfaction.
I hope they:
--Take it back
--Refund my 20 bucks I paid extra for Next Day Air
--Pay for the return shipping
