Western Digital 74GB Raptor
- Pros: Fast. Coming from an old school Maxtor drive at 7,200rpm's, this drive is much nicer. Not too loud either. I use it as my OS/Office/program drive, and it loads quickly. Installation was a cinch, Vista recognized it, all is good.
- Cons: Price. I decided I really wanted a 10,000rpm drive, it's speed ratings were good so I bit the bullet. Price per GB is higher, but the speed of it offsets all buyer's remorse.
- Other Thoughts: In my Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 case, it seems to stay cool enough for me. I'm a standard user with some gaming, but overheating isn't a problem at this point.
