1 out of 5 eggsNot Good

Pros: Fast drive when it works. I'm on my second one.

Cons: Nothing but problems with it, overheating (7200 runs a little hot) and lots of errors. I almost have to run a disk utility everytime I bootup to correct errors. Already tried re-installing Win7 twice. Going to try another make (Seagate)

Pros: Very quiet

Cons: Make sure you order the heat shield. I was able to use my old one

Other Thoughts: Its a great harddrive, however, i would definitely recommend the 7400rpm

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome MBP Upgrade

Pros: Extremely quiet and no vibration. Looks to be running maybe 2 degrees warmer that the old drive that came with the laptop.

Cons: Not as fast as the Fujitsu 120 5400 it replaced. Kinda waffled between this or a 320 7200 and wished I had gone that route.

Other Thoughts: Easy install into a 2 year old MBP. Used instructions from iFixIt and install took maybe 15 minutes. To prepare the new drive I first installed it into a spare external drive, formated and partitioned it. I then installed OSX but did not migrate yet choosing instead to first download all the updated for OSX. When that finished I used the Migration Utility to migrate all system settings and folders and files to the new drive. Then booted up using the new external drive and made certain that all programs worked, and they did. Once I was satisfied that all was OK, I installed the drive into the laptop.
