1 out of 5 eggshorrable shipping

Pros: price.

Cons: the shipping method used is unreliable. ordered on 01/05 3-5 day ground, it is now 01/16 and still no package. have left messages with action packaging and have received no response. ups say they transferred package to usps. usps say they never received the package. new egg customer service have entered a claim for the missing package yet I have to wait another 2 weeks for the refund and I have a client that has to wait for me to order another drive wait for it to ship. now this is causing me money because the customer wants the work done for free since they have waited so long. thanks action packaging.

Other Thoughts: new egg you really need to boot this reseller since they have such a high bad rating.

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 2.5 years

Pros: Cheap, good capacity.

Cons: Dies after only 2 years, just past the warranty period.

Other Thoughts: Hey WD, here's some free, but really good, advice: If you can't sell a drive with a 5 year warranty, do NOT sell one at all. It will cause potential buyers to wonder what other bad management and manufacturing decisions might be affecting your other product lines. Remember: Quality, quality, quality!!

1 out of 5 eggsDead after 2 years

Pros: Size, price

Cons: It's dead after exactly 2 years + 1 month after the purchase.

Other Thoughts: Quality of western digital has deteriorated in the last years. I'm switching to other brands.

5 out of 5 eggsUnstoppable

Pros: Very good capacity for a budget. Runs solid and very quick for a 5400 rpm drive

Cons: NADA

Other Thoughts: This exact drive came in my Inspiron N7110 (17R). It has a recovery partition alongside WIN7 and WIN8 Developer partitions. I have had no issues with it. It is a strong drive, durable, and puts out hardly any heat.

1 out of 5 eggsRMA x2

Pros: Cool, quiet, and, at the time of purchase, the largest capacity 9.5mm height drive I could find. Installed in my Unibody MacBook without issue.

Cons: My first drive died in less than a year. My warranty replacement drive has just failed in less than a month.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Runs fast, made my laptop a whole lot faster than it was before

Cons: Drive bugged out on my for no reason whatsoever after about a month and a half of using it. RMA-ing it for a replacement, hopefully it doesn't take too long considering the flooding.

Other Thoughts: I feel like this drive is really good, but I just got one from a bad batch I guess. Most reviews I've seen on it are really good, even after extended use. It's too bad it had a music mix I was working on on it, and it was the only copy (my bad haha)

1 out of 5 eggsDied in less than five months

Pros: Affordable

Cons: Questionable quality

Other Thoughts: I purchased three of these drives a little over a year ago and installed them in various machines. Two are still running fine. One was installed in a daily-use laptop (a machine that sits on my desktop and is rarely moved) in May of this year and it died this week, after less than five months of use.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat HD for PS3

Pros: Run cool on my PS3
Low noise

Cons: Price still somewhat high,
low cache

Other Thoughts: Should waited for a shell shocker
Aim for a 5400 RPM drive if you want you PS3 to run cool, 7200 RPM generate to much heat
