4 out of 5 eggsSlow but works

Pros: HEY! it works :)

Cons: however its pretty slow... takes a while for it to boot up and open any programs... deferentially bottle-necking my rig... I bought another WD BLUE used harddrive which ran fast but this one is a bit slow.... I would only recommend getting this for old computers and not new rigs

5 out of 5 eggsWD is the HD king

Pros: Worked perfectly out of the box.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Really great drive for the price. Replaced my mom's failed drive with this one and she is happy with the purchase.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Price, WD

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Physical appearance looks brand new! Purchased as an upgrade to older WD 80gb, did drive copy via USB external SATA/IDE enclosure, then swapped out with original internal HD, no problems! CrystalDisk reports power on count 6, power on hours 2. Very satisfied!

5 out of 5 eggs5 years, still running great.

Pros: Was surprised to find this refurbished hard drive still up for sale. I bought it for a budget built nearly 5 years ago. I've replaced or added to almost every part of the PC, besides the CPU and mobo, but this little harddrive is still chugging along.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Came here to get a second hard drive because 250GB just isn't enough anymore. Think I'm going to buy two more of these.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing price, had it for two weeks, runs great

Pros: No noticeable clicking noise, superb response time, $20 Black Friday price tag, durable, dependable

Cons: Nothing significant enough to waste time noting here

Other Thoughts: Some other reviews on here have noted that some of the WD Blue drives were defective, and in their case they should be entitled to a full refund. But not me. I am ONE SATISFIED CUSTOMER, this $20 250GB WD HDD has saved my mother's computer and by extension has saved her from spending hundreds on a new computer. My belief is that this drive will last awhile, and thanks to Newegg for literally being one of the ONLY ONLINE STORES to sell such a quality refurb for a stupid low price. Newegg continues to amaze.

2 out of 5 eggsExtremely Cheap - Failed Fast

Pros: It was a cheap, refurbished, SATA drive

Cons: It failed in less than 30 days. By failed, I mean loud grinding and clicking noises, along with intermittently disappearing from the system.

Other Thoughts: My first, and last, foray into the land of refurbished hard-drives.

It worked respectably when it worked. Passed manufacturer diagnostics out-of-the-box. Something is critically wrong, and it faulted with less than two weeks in the field.

Paperweight? Nah. Remember, it has a 90-day warranty, and it's not from a mission critical machine!

1 out of 5 eggsGarbage.

Pros: Every single drive I ordered failed within weeks of being installed, save one, which died unexpectedly a few months later. Complete waste of money, don't buy these unless you need a paperweight.

Cons: Even for a cheap drive these are unacceptably awful.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: It was cheap

Cons: It was cheap and didn't even work strait out of the bag. Made allot of heavy spinning and clicking noises.

Other Thoughts: I don't normally buy cheap Hard drives just because the fear of them not working.
