So far, so good..
- Pros: Plugged it in, it worked! Still works! I'm using it to backup our core enterprise servers in combination with a disk imaging product, performance is fine. I like the rubber molding, cushy.
- Cons: Size
All around a nice external drive
- Pros: Great capacity and came pre-formatted NTFS. Yes, it only formats to ~465GB using NTFS or EXT3 (Unix) but that is how hard drives work. It was very fast when connected directly using USB2.0, now I have it connected to a LINKSYS NSLU2 and it is much slower due to the 100Mb LAN speed, but I can access from any computer. The drive spins down when nobody is accessing it. This drive is much wider than other external drives - turns out this is a positive thing as it doesn't require a stand (that falls off every time you touch it) to sit on its edge.
- Cons: Drive seems to take alot of time to spin up - but spin down when idle may make it last a LOT longer. Cooling fan is loud even when ambient temp is very low. It is louder than my entire computer sitting next to it - but its cooling fan keeps it VERY cool even after hours of copying and the fan stops when the drive spins down. My old 120GB Maxtor external got very hot when being used.
- Other Thoughts: I have seen some reviews complaining about the activity lights not working correctly on these models - not true. Top light flashes when idle (spin down), both lights on steady when idle (spinning), lights alternate flash when busy / working. They are probably white LEDs and are so bright I had to cover them with semi-opaque plastic.

Product died after 14 months
- Pros: I had a 500gb OneTouch which was great while it worked. Only lasted 14 months and Seagate said "Sorry, out of warranty!"

Update for Vista doesn't work
- Pros: It's a hard-drive. It hooks up to USB2. It's big.
- Cons: Until the software works -- this is just another big hard-drive. Certainly NOT worth the extra amount paid if the One Touch feature is crippled or broken.
- Other Thoughts: The software is the only differentiator for this type of product. I wish I had just gotten a regular drive and used Windows backup software since that seems to work just fine.
Nice product worth the price
- Pros: Nice rubber finish, fast drive, power switch on the case. Software is OK, even better after updating it from web site (downloaded it for 2k/xp even if says "Vista"). For the value it is well worth its price !
- Cons: Backup software does not support open file and just skip them, but not sure 100%...
- Other Thoughts: Lightening fast shipping as usual !!
