CRASH N' BURN!
- Pros: Bought 2 for a RAID 0 to use as working drive on my video editing workstation. Worked just fine for a couple of months.
- Cons: Maybe it was the drives, maybe it was a somewhat buggy RAID chipset, but these two drives did not like working together for very long. I will not likely buy Hitachi drives again. WD, Maxtor, and Seagate have all done much better for me.
- Other Thoughts: I'm not super-experienced with building a reliable RAID array, so maybe I'm feeling some consequence of building this one wrong. Still, my experience with other HDD manufacturers has been much more favorable in single disk applications.
Good drive
- Pros: Cheap, decent size.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Can you really not afford the 40 extra bucks on a larger drive (1TB)? For me, that one particular day..no..but it's worth the money nonetheless
Beaut
- Pros: Nice size, nice price all around nice as soon as you get it set up.
- Cons: Kind of a weird hook up but got it figured out with out too much trouble.
