Pros: 1 TB is great (931 GB formatted)... what can I say? Light and relatively compact, no usability issues, etc.

The best products are the ones that don't demand any attention from you.

Cons: Takes a bit long to access information. Much slower than my older 250GB Seagate drive, but that's to be expected.

Other Thoughts: I bought it because of the gigabyte/dollar ratio. Been using it for almost a year with no problems. Very satisfied!

Great Drive... So Far...

Pros: Finally got up to a terrabyte.

Cons: Have had to unplug the power once since I got since my laptop wasn't recognizing it after a sleep mode. Hasn't done it again since then. Been kinda nervous about this drive after reading some other reviews, but I've been using this for about 4 months without problems.

Other Thoughts: The stand isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be from what I read in other reviews and the glowing light is pretty cool.

2 Months and POOF

Pros: Great price from NewEgg. 1 TB of storage seem at such a low price seemed like an amazing deal.

Cons: Seagate support for these drives is horrid. Check out their user forums and see just how little they are supporting what appears to be a lemon product. The forums direct you to a knowledge base with limited information. When that doesn't get taken care of, contact technical support, which eventually refers you to the knowledge base and eventually for a $$ RMA for them to send you a new drive.

Other Thoughts: I read the negative reviews before I bought this drive and ignored them. Now I'm out a few days work and missing close to 100GB of files I had transferred over. Simply put, this is a back-up stationary drive ONLY. Any other use will most likely disappoint.
