2 out of 5 eggsWorthless HDD's

Pros: space, sata, rpm

Cons: - Failed after 1 year. I've had another Seagate drive fail since 2010. So they won't last past 3 years. I refuse to buy Seagate now. 2 failed products since 2009.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy Seagate hard drives for quality and reliability.

1 out of 5 eggsNothing but trouble.

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Bad sectors

Other Thoughts: I thought I had other problems but after fighting with this thing for a year I have given up. 2 year warranty and have owned for 25 months. Should have paid more for a Western Digital.

1 out of 5 eggsSeagate Barracuda

Pros: Was pretty Quick

Cons: Started Failing after 1.5 years but S.M.A.R.T was not catching it. Was causing the system crash but the symptoms made it look like other things. Figured out after total hard drive failure now Seagate wont help.

Other Thoughts: Hard Drive manufactures have gone way down hill on customer service.

5 out of 5 eggsShame they dont sell it anymore.

Pros: Reliable, decent speed. Bought mine back in 2009 for 100 bucks, which was pretty good back then. No read issues or bad sectors after all this time either, and it's gets a lot of use.

Cons: They don't sell it anymore. They have a winner for reliability and longevity and that doesn't make a company money. Selling more replacements does.

Other Thoughts: This is a media drive in one of my computers. Fully loaded with my movie/music library and shared on the network. Its solid as a rock even after nearly 3 years sitting in an old file server on a dusty floor. Had I known this would stand the test of time, I'd have bought two.
