The highest storage capacity available for a laptop hdd that spins at 7200 rpm. As of this post! Cons: Unreliable: I've had this hard drive in my computer since 2/9/10, today is 7/22/10 and I already have 16 reallocated sectors. I have another computer with a 320 GB 7200 rpm drive by Western Digital that's over a year old and it only has 1 reallocated sector. Other Thoughts: The ST9500420AS is newer than some of the other 7200 rpm 500 GB drives from Seagate but it's reliability is still abysmal. 2 out of 9 people found this review helpful. Did you? This hard drive is faster than my old WD Scorpio Black 2.5" probably due to more data being squeezed on to the same number of platters. Cons: None so far. Other Thoughts: I will update this review if anything changes. Hopefully this latest itineration of Seagate's line of 7200 rpm 500GB drives turns out to be more reliable than others that have been reviewed on this site. 5 out of 5 people found this review helpful.
