Very sorry but my laptop battery caught on fire, borrowed a mates pc to figure out how to make an external drive and whilst her kids were running up and making a ton of noise (bless their lil cotton socks) I couldn't think. As soon as I clicked send, I saw the answer in the specs.

This drive will replace a standard Laptop drive at 2.5 Inches.
It is a standard thickness.

If you are looking for one thinner, this will not fit as it would then be too thick.
This drive will NOT fit in most THIN model laptops.

I have now used this drive in several Laptops, from Gaming, to work specific systems without issue regarding fit or operation

I assume you mean NCQ, or Native Command Queuing. It's basically a technology which helps the computer queue commands to the drive in a manner better suited to the specific hardware involved. It may theoretically improve speeds when dealing with distant parts of the hard drive, especially if it's highly fragmented. Check Wikipedia for more details.

It depends on what you want. Any 2.5" SATA II or SATA III should be compatible. It just depends on how much space you want, if you want 5400rpm, 7200 rpm or self encrypting drives. 
Just look at the specs of this drive and compare it with other ones so you can see the difference.

Well, I was asked to answer your question since I bought one of these for my MacBook.  I can tell you it has improved my speed and there is virtually no noise. This is the 3rd hard drive I've had in my MacBook since buying it new in 2008. 
If I had an Acer I would start at the Acer website to check if it would fit. My Mac "guy" found this for me.  I am pleased with it though.
