This product says it is for a mac? I need to transfer files from my pc to my new macbook pro and wanted to make sure that it would work for that purpose. Please let me know.

I bought this for my daughter to back up her Mac Book Air. We have not tried to connect it to a PC. The literature states it will work with both out of the box. Per Seagate you can install the HFS+ driver for PC and transfer files back and forth.
