Not a TB
Pros: I like the hybrid drive. Really awesome.
Cons: It is not actually a full TB. It is only 1000GB and a TB is supposed to be 1024GB. I know it is only 24GB short but nonetheless.

Pros: i left a review a little while ago and apparently i clicked on the wrong item...... Rosewill RNX-N150HG (RNWD-11004) IEEE 802.11b/g/n was what my review was meant for im sry

A no fanfare DOA
Cons: Simply dead on arrival. Of course I used Seagate tools, which just tabs into windows storage management tools.
Other Thoughts: Was looking forward to trying a sshd out but it's going to cost me to return and a couple weeks for replacement. Where is the QC on these?

Pros: normally $20 i got it for $8 works as it should
Cons: i tested it out on my g/f's laptop prior to using on my desktop (was waiting on all parts to come in) and her computer has win8. This product does not work with win8 it actually crashed her computer and we had to revert to backed up data. Fortunately her laptop was set up to backup every night. If your computer isn't backed up I'm sorry

Pros: Lots of space, seems to be a good stable drive.
Cons: It might be faster than a conventional drive, but to the average user it is indistinguishable.
Other Thoughts: Scores the same Windows Experience Score on Win7 as my 2TB Seagate conventional drive does.

WAY too fragile
Pros: low cost. partial ssd helps the boost time.
Cons: the harddrive started ticking within 2 months. no drops, no shakes. just sitting in the desktop tower and started ticking all of a sudden.

Great Hard Drive
Pros: I have an older gaming system I was looking to do some upgrading with. It was still running Windows Vista so I was going to have to upgrade the operating system anyway so I decided I'd go for a SSD for a performance boost. But after thinking about it I thought I would be better off with a SSHD so I could have more storage since my motherboard only supported 3Gbs SATA II and SATA II would be a massive bottlekneck for a SSD. But there is still a noticeable difference between a normal mechanical hard drive even when using legacy hardware with SATA II.
Cons: I noticed the Windows performance score for my HDD read write speed didn't change after this hard drive was installed. But after minimal research I found this is to be expected. This is no big deal though so I won't deduct any eggs as a result of this.
Other Thoughts: If you buy this expecting it to be a fast as a SSD, then you're gonna have a bad time. This isn't as fast as a SSD nor is it supposed to be.

Pros: I got it on sale and the specs look goods.
Cons: I tested the sshd on two separate motherboards to make sure the problem was the drive. I was working on a couple of new builds and neither of the new motherboards even recognized that the drive was connected to the respective SATA port. Tried several different cables just to be careful but the drive was certainly DOA.

Excellent balance between performance and space
Cons: Slightly pricey (then again, I was comparing this to WD and Seagate 1TB drives that were under $70)

Fast drive, with a caveate
Pros: Fast drive for starting and running programs, not noticeably different from SSD that it replaced.
Cons: Despite having some SSD functionality, it does not boot into windows nearly as fast as the SSD that it replaces (ran out of space). Boot time longer by a factor of about 5X, going from <30sec to around 2min or so (no times recorded, but the difference is real). I think this drive, while a very good choice, was over-sold regarding boot times (see Seagate's promo material).
Other Thoughts: Since I generally only start the computer once a day, slower boot time isn't a huge deal. I have a lot of start-up items, so I think this is a good alternative to a standard HDD.
