Cons: These are 4k sector drives, they are not compatible with Windows Server 2003, also they are prone to performance issues with any Windows Server OS prior to Windows Server 2012. Hyper-V can present them as 512e drives but you do have overhead related to the 512k emulated sector size and 4k physical sector size. Other Thoughts: the sector size should be noted in the specs, I would not have bought these drives had I known they were 4k sector drives as they were bought in a disaster recovery situation where we need to restore a windows 2003 server. 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful. Hyper-V can present them as 512e drives but you do have overhead related to the 512k emulated sector size and 4k physical sector size.
