Cons: Significantly slower than I expected for a WD Scorpio Black 7200 RPM drive.

Crystaldismark sequential read speed was 82 MB/s. Write speed was 64 MB/s. I have 5400 RPM drives that benchmark better than that.

On my 750 gig WD Scorpio Black the sequential read speed is 119 MB/s and the write is 110 MB/s.

Other Thoughts: I bought this drive to clone my 750 gig (but not near full) WD Scorpio Black drive to so should the larger drive fail, I would have a plug-and-play backup clone while ordering a new (larger) drive.

It works fine insofar as a home for the clone, and for just over thirty bucks it's not a bad deal, but performance is so sluggish that I would return it if it could.

Pros: arrived from newegg in great condition. if i did not know better, the 3 drives i ordered appeared to be new. put one in a mini case that i am working on and uploaded win 7p with no problems. i am building this for a disabled buddy so he can surf the internet. great job newegg and wd.

Other Thoughts: i just wish there were larger capacity drives when i ordered.

Pros: Excellent drive. Good value for an open box drive and an excellent service by Newegg.

Pros: Arrived fast, packed nicely, was as advertised.

Cons: I initalized it, created a partition and formatted the drive, put it in the laptop to install windows 8 on it and it died. not recognized in disk management anymore.

Other Thoughts: wish this drive would have worked, too bad. it's RMA time!

Pros: These are faster than standard drives. 8 of the 10 were not DOA.

Cons: 2 out of 10 were DOA. One was certainly damaged before being packed for shipping since the bubble wrap was not damaged, but the drive was damaged.

Other Thoughts: I have been using these drives for a while and prefer them to standard drives since I do notice the performance improvement.

Pros: -Awesome price at 30 dollars
-Run very quiet
-Stay pretty cool even under heavy usage
-Decent space for school use

Cons: -None so far

Other Thoughts: I mounted two of these puppies in an Optiplex using a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter. I also arranged them in a RAID 1 configuration for a little more peace of mind. So far I'm impressed, I plan on buying more if they get stocked again.

Pros: -Significantly faster than 5400 rpm hard drives, windows boots up and programs load several seconds faster
-Very inexpensive option if all you really want is a quick boot drive in a laptop or a PS3 upgrade
-Quiet, doesn't seem to appreciably reduce laptop life

Cons: -Nothing yet

Other Thoughts: As a refurb I'll be keeping an eye on the hard drive and report back if it dies within the next few months. So far so good. I was surprised when it arrived in a somewhat large box, inside it was packed pretty well with two pieces of shaped dunnage.

Pros: Needed this for mothers PC that Harddrive failed was a Compaq Qe264ua#aba fit just fine. Packaging was one of the best I have ever seen came better packed than The brand new one I bought with my other computer. WOW thanks a lot will rember this.
