2 out of 5 eggsDisappointing

Pros: I bought this drive in March 2013 as a refurb. The price was good at the time, but it was mostly wishful thinking. I went against my better judgement knowing a refurb HDD was a high risk.

Cons: Over the past month (11/2015) my PC (SageTv HTPC running Win10) started experiencing random crashes/reboots. I used this drive as movie storage only. It turns out that half of the drive has bad sectors.

Other Thoughts: I guess the warranty expired a long time ago. This time I went with a WD Black, NIB, 1TB instead of 2TB due to cost. No more refurbs for me.

5 out of 5 eggsStill running after 2.5 years

Pros: I bought this refurbished from Newegg back in March 2013.. Still running strong in December 2015. Always recommend WD in mechanical drives. They took over HGST and solved the problems that they were having too.

Cons: Could have been cheaper but 2TB in March of '13 cost about as much as a 4TB now and I got this for $109.99

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal!

Pros: Affordable, great capacity, good performance

Cons: Haven't seen any yet - but I just got them

Other Thoughts: I purchased two of these, set up a Mirror (RAID 1) in Windows 7 Pro. I wanted a dedicated hard drive for storing home videos. But having the data on a singe drive was a bit disconcerting. So buying a pair of these for $67 ea was the best deal I've seen for 2TB HD's.

It's only been a couple days, but they've been running great. If this deal is available again, I highly recommend it!
