2 out of 5 eggsHD? Right.

Pros: Lightweight, portable. HDMI input. Bright output.

Cons: It is advertised as having the ability to do HD. Well... it does... kind of. I connected the projector to my PC. I use a NVIDIA graphics card with HDMI output. The projector works... except even the HD is limited to 800x600. This is a problem for PC because the only program that really can play blu ray discs is PowerDVD. PowerDVD will not run at an 800x600 resolution for HD output. So that means cranking the projector's resolution really high using the video card options.

This fix comes with another set of problems. Even if the resolution is set high, the HD is not really HD. It's not crisp at all. In fact the image kind of looks like how the old giant TV's in the 90's looked - you can see pixellation. NOT HD, so I'm shocked that they even have HD in the specs for this thing. What the unit actually does is shrink the HD image down to 800 x 600. Basically, what that means is you are taking an image size of 1920 x 1080 and bringing it down to 800 x 600. Then they slap the HD sticker on the case of the projector and advertise it as an HD projector. It really isn't

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding

Pros: HDMI Input, Picture, Contrast. Amazing picture for the cost, have seen $1000 projectors that are in line with this beauty.

Cons: Onboard sound, fix with a stereo HDMI pass through, but this just comes with projector territory. Can still hear it if your movie theater quiet.

Other Thoughts: Bulb replacement cost. Can be had for as low as $2XX if your frugal enough but regularly more in the 3XX. Bulb life supposedly in excess of 6000 hours and more than that using the ECO Mode. The 3d is so-so.. great depth but pop outs arent as nice as my passive screen. Still great and can't be the screen size (130) in my case.
