5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Router

Pros: Great SOHO router because it does most everything easily and well!! Very easy to administer, and configure. I have multiple installations of this router and it is working well everywhere installed.

Cons: As far as I am concerned for what you get at this price level there aren't any Cons. What a great little router.

5 out of 5 eggsThe desktop switch standard

Pros: We never hesitate to purchase and deploy these switches for small applications like a desk that needs more ethernet ports. They are bulletproof and have good speeds, what more can you say? I'm sure they probably fail every once in a while but I haven't seen it happen.

Cons: They aren't free.

5 out of 5 eggsjust works, runs cool, low power usage

Pros: Just installed this guy to replace a netgear 100mb switch in my office. It doubled the backup speed to my NAS box. Switch runs cool (contrary to other reviews I've seen) and only pulls 1-2W of power in operation (as measured on a kill-a-watt wattmeter).

Cons: I'd rather have the lights on the front.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking as needed

Pros: Solid and compact 5 port gigabit switch.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Got tired of the latency and limited bandwidth via wireless so I decided to use this switch to provide gigabit connections to all my second story bedrooms. This unit has a pretty high upper scale operating temperature so I decided to place this switch in my attic (housed in an enclosure).

3 out of 5 eggsNetgear GS105NA

Pros: Works well.

Cons: Connecter housing is a bit lose. The connector it self is tight and secures the cable well but the rattle like housing leaves one unsure if it is a good connection or not.

5 out of 5 eggsNice little switch

Pros: I just needed a basic switch, and since the GS105 is a business class switch that is usually on sale for the price of a basic consumer class one I decided to grab one.

The two things I like most about it though are its size and metal casing. I normally carry it around in a laptop bag, so having a small, sturdy switch helps.

Also, having a lifetime warranty is a plus.

Cons: Only one I could find is the power brick only comes with a 2 year warranty, but it seems fairly standard so finding a replacement if it ever gives out shouldn't be hard.
