5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent price, compact, noiseles. Had conectivity within seconds, my media servers stream smoothly now that they are not wireless, and my network printer was recognized within seconds. Only lights that come up are the active connections, all other remain off when not in use.

Cons: None as of yet

Other Thoughts: I have never been impressed with TP LINK routers, but they sure hit a grandslam with this switch.
Because I placed it in my network closet, I had to buy a small fan to maintain air circulation since it disipates heat by convection. The closet doesnt have vents so i had to improvise. Still, it works PERFECTLY!

5 out of 5 eggsNo Problems

Pros: Purchased 10/21/2012
Using in home along side one other switch (EDIMAX GS-1026), both under one router running DD-WRT.

Cons: No perceived problems.

5 out of 5 eggsVery nice, economical switch

Pros: The switch works as advertised, no fan, very quiet, good operating temperature range, gigabit no problem on all 24 ports. Low power consumption, not too hot. Mounts in rack without any difficulty. Supports jumbo frames.

Cons: Only IP4, literature sparse, but it is mostly plug and play. Doesn't have spanning tree or similar built in, causing me to be concerned about someone plugging another switch further down the line incorrectly. Couldn't tell which model would arrive (turned out to be a model 2).

Other Thoughts: No IP 6, would have preferred to know which model would be shipped. No fan is a major plus. Spanning tree or similar should be standard imo.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Switch

Pros: Solid well built switch. Does what a unmanaged switch should. Green feature built in a plus.

Cons: Not that I've noticed.

Other Thoughts: Should've brought another one.

5 out of 5 eggsVersion 2

Pros: Fanless model. Hopefully power saving as advertised.

Cons: Nothing to report yet.

Other Thoughts: I just wanted to post that I purchased this unit in Jan 2013 and it's Version 2 - the fanless model. The description, pictures and old reviews are out of date and had me wondering at the time.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: I had high hopes for this switch. The price was right and the reviews were positive. I have probably installed 50 switches in my time and they were all plug and play.

Cons: Unfortunatly this unit was DOA. It would not uplink to my network despite spend way too much time swapping in and out about 20 cables.

Other Thoughts: I hope I didn't make a mistake asking for a replacement. I am not happy when a vendor sends me something that should not have left their warehouse and I have to pay to return it. If that happens twice I'll be doublyl disappointed.
