4 out of 5 eggsGood little machine

Pros: I've owned this laptop for about a year and am overall very happy with it. It's not the fastest machine by far but suits my mobile needs well.
-Plays video as well as HD video on the machine and on my tv
-Handles light gaming very well (Project64,C&C Generals,SimCity4,half life)
-Feels far more powerful than other N270 powered netbooks (Because of the ion)
-Well built. Took a 4 foot fall onto a hardwood floor without a scratch
-Highly portable. Very easy for me to put in my backpack on for college

Cons: -N270 CPU is a little weak
-Battery life could be a tiny bit better
-Hard drive is a pain to access for upgrade/replacement

Other Thoughts: Overall this machine has been a dream to me. Keeps me connected and entrained. The price is a bit high but its got the lenovo quality many of have come to know a love.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns great.

Pros: Full screen 1080p video through HDMI, full screen flash video on most sites, ION allows minor gaming(WoW, EQ, Source games like TF2, UT2004), battery life is pretty good on Low Power setting. Boot times and performance with XP are perfect. All XP drivers are available from Lenovo. Construction/hinges feel pretty solid.

Cons: Windows 7 with Desktop 3d off felt slower than with it on due to window redrawing. Poor video and 3d performance. Boot time wasn't too great. Fn placement takes a little getting used to.

Other Thoughts: Windows 7 didn't feel very fast at all. Loaded XP Pro with all performance options and extra services off, BitDefender, Miranda IM, and Chrome on it and now I'm happy with the performance. Able to do everything I expected it to do. Pushing 1080p or fullscreen flash video to HDTV from a 4lb laptop on my lap/coffee-table is pretty cool.

2 out of 5 eggspainfully sloooow

Pros: Great experience buying from New Egg.

Cons: Slow, lame software

Other Thoughts: Wow, is this thing slow. It does nothing fast. Brings me back to the days of dial-up. I didn't buy it to be nostalgic however. It is really annoying to do even basic stuff with this thing. Why did I buy this?

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Machine was slow as everyone stated, but for the price i paid, solving the problem of being slow took one simple solution, blow the computer up and re-install windows7 and now she3works like a brand new car, boot time is faster, i load a lot of programs for work use and chat use and it boots up and is ready way before i can get near the coffee machine, great book for the price "i paid" ;)

Cons: -_- the con is more that i got it for a great price from them so newegg was the one who was conned

Other Thoughts: was skeptical about buying it but was overall more satisfied that i dd buy it, instead of giving in to the smaller 10" netbooks, and then i would have a hard time when i do tuning for a car while driving, but thanks to this screen size its perfect.

5 out of 5 eggsLuv my Little Lenovo

Pros: With the ION update(see someone's else's review here), and striping out the crapware First. Even before an internet connection worked wonders to build as a Win7 machine. It's quick, compact HIGH Quality High Def screen. Truly a nice keyboard for Fat Fingers like me. Screen Size. Compactness

Cons: Only one so far, the power plug does not seem to seat perfectly in the lenovo. It hasn't fallen out, but several times I've noticed the plug wiggles out of the socket just a little.

Other Thoughts: Video doesn't run smoothly over 780p. But that is not a complaint. What a perfect size screen, The 10 inch screens I always felt were too small. Why don't they build more 12" screens.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Screen, Good Job!

Pros: VERY crispy screen, Lenovo makes right design while others are cuting cost to use cheap LCD. The display is super clear and bright, I guess it is definitely not TN-Panel. Other than this I have no problem doing web browsing , word processing and watch online stream movie. Meet the requirement, someone said VIA 1.3Ghz Nano CPU is faster than this, if that is true, would be better. It is not a powerful laptop, it fits my needs , no complain since I knew what I used it for.

Cons: Not a powerful LAPTOP. But I feel OK .

1 out of 5 eggsPretty awful machine

Pros: Once the machine's running, it runs pretty well. It plays videos, and simple applications run relatively smoothly.

Cons: Painfully slow boot time. Painfully slow wake from hibernation time. It takes a few seconds before you see a screen, and once you do, you're just sitting around waiting with an unresponsive PC. I'd love nothing more than to return this, but it's got a no-refund policy.

I originally bought it just for really simple tasks (chatting, some simple web browsing), but I wouldn't even recommend this PC for that.

5 out of 5 eggsamazing

Pros: small, powerfull, big enogh screen to play games on

even has a slot for SD card

huge hard drive

lenovo (IBM) laptops are the best built and sexiest to look at

windows 7

Cons: the tracking pad.....(not sure if ever other company laptop is like this)

Tapping the tracking pad acts as a left click....even though theres obviously dedicated left and right click buttons. This makes it so that while browsing sometimes your palm will hit the tracking pad..and it will act as a left click

Veriface requires a LOTTTT of light to read your face

Other Thoughts: Veriface secure login uses the built in webcam and scans your face as a password, so no typing to log in to the computer. This is cool the first couple times, however its not worth the hassle so just uninstall it. It requires too much light to see your face properly.

5 out of 5 eggsKnow what your Buying BEFORE you order!

Pros: Lenovo makes the BEST PC hardware. This NETBOOK is no different.
GREAT SCREEN! Great Thinkvantage Technology! A laptop with a netbook logic board. Runs OS X better than Windows (any version). Newegg shipping rocks. Very portable, MUCH better build than the junkbooks from everyone else (cut my hand on an Acer!). Pop in a virgin mobile USB 3G modem and it's darn near perfect. Really love the LED 1280x800 display.

Buy the larger battery!

Cons: Need to order FROM Lenovo to get WWAN compatible board, these do NOT have second Mini PCI-e slot. You can get it cheaper from Lenovo with linux installed and a larger battery... Hint, hint - call.

It's an Atom. It's slow. You want it faster get the Athlon Neo or the SU based Intel cpu.

Other Thoughts: It's an Intel ATOM CPU. Pretty much the most worthless CPU on the market. It's also a NETBOOK in a laptop chassis. Turn off unecessary services and remove unneeded apps (do not remove any Lenovo apps, they HELP more than they hurt).

Also the warranty is outstanding. Lenovo will NEXT DAY AIR you a replacement machine for the cost of shipping ($28). You swap the HD (as long as it's not the problem) and ship back the busted unit. Only Apple and Lenovo do this, ONLY.

Finally: Know what your buying before you b*tch, or ask for help. That's what a phone is for... Remember the days when we talked on a phone. I bought a TV to browse the web, a phone to send email, and a computer to watch videos - Welcome to 2010.

1 out of 5 eggsThe worst computer that I have owned

Pros: None

Cons: The computer screen repeatedly frozen when it is left alone for more than a few minutes. I have to power off the computer to wake up the computer. The problem still exists after adjust all power options to never turn off the screen or never getting into sleeping mode.
