1 out of 5 eggsMotorola Buds

Pros: worked a few times

Cons: After about 5 or 6 times listening to music ,they just wont turn on.Can hook up to pc and usb connection makes noise as its being seen but no charge light.Sometimes it does light up and look like it charges then still cant turn on.I will send back to Motorola but that will be $10 ups so maybe not worth it.Pass by on these.

5 out of 5 eggsSF500

Pros: Awesome set of bluetooth headset, build quality is superior (really like the thick wire), comfortable to wear around neck, plugs in ear snugly, magnets holding ear phones are really strong. I've had these for about a month and they seem like they will outlast what my LG tones.

Cons: not a CON but these are not noise cancelling but then its ideal for me because I walk all day long conference calling with friends and need to hear whats going on around me. Lack of bass, but no other bluetooth set with a 10+ hour talk time has any bass either.

Other Thoughts: I've gone thru 3 sets of LG tones 700, 730, 750.

2 out of 5 eggsfair if Motorola Support didn't suck

Pros: Good bluetooth range (up to 150 ft per spec)
Works as expected (until wear and tear causes it to start failing) better than LG Tone (HBS-700 or HBS-730).

Cons: horrible Motorola support. Would not accept emails from for proof of purchase.
unreasonable warranty policy if your purchased item away from online. Motorola support did not accept 2 separate emails from as proof of purchase which is required to return item for warranty exchange.
I have owned 2 of these items and each has lost sound in one earbud within 6-8 months. If it was easy to do a warranty repair from an online merchant (not I would not list this as a con.
While not required, a Motorola ID helped in getting warrantee exchange info. Do not use a different email/ID when processing a warrantee exchange or you will encounter lots of grief.
The first one I received, the left metallic plate fell off which prevented the left earbud from attaching. Had to superglue the piece to the headset to get it to attach again.

Other Thoughts: While not noise cancelling, the correct ear cushion will block out a lot of external sound. Wearing both earbuds, it took co-workers having to tap on my shoulder to get my attention while using the Buds.

4 out of 5 eggsNo Songs

Pros: Light weight and encompasses all that you would need in a headset. Battery life is good and sound quality for phone is idea.

Cons: Sound quality for music is a little less than I would expect from this headset.

Other Thoughts: Motorola makes great products, this one is on the line. Good sound quality is not present all around.

2 out of 5 eggsCannot recommend

Pros: Comfortable and buds seem to stay in place well when moving and turning your head. I like the magnetic bud holders on the end of the neck piece. Controls are easy and intuitive. Good bluetooth range and connection quality, no lag in audio playback

Cons: The sound volume and quality are, bluntly, terrible. The buds do little to filter any outside noise and the quality of the sound was very tinny with non existent bass. Even with the device and headset volume pegged at max the volume was not high enough to compete with outside noise. If you are in a quiet office space and dont mind trebly washed out sound, these could work, but not good for gym or outside work.

Other Thoughts: I have owned Motorola headsets in the past and have been very happy with the quality of sound, but not so much with the comfort or the buds staying in place. Hopefully they can find a way to get these 2 important factors together in 1 device, but I cannot recommend these. The only reason I am not returning is because my wife already threw out all the packaging etc :(

5 out of 5 eggsHe said, she said

Pros: Work great for phone calls and music

Cons: My husband can't hear me when he's wearing them and I can't always tell. I suspect he may be faking it at times.

Other Thoughts: Bought them for my husband. He says he likes them and they work well. From strictly a performance standard he's satisfied. However, he doesn't like the look and tries to hide them so "I don't look like an idiot.

4 out of 5 eggsconfused but works well.

Pros: audio is pretty good, people say they can hear us. buttons are all in a good place.

Cons: bit awkward for those who haven't used this type of device

Other Thoughts: purchased two at the same time. both black and same model numbers. We received a blue one and a black one. One with a tiny usb charger one with a wall charger, one with a bag, one with out. other than that they seem the same. I don't know why it is this way but the tiny usb works out nice for me and my wife will use the wall charger.

at retail price, may want to look at other options such as the LG, but on sale these seem to be a good buy so far.

4 out of 5 eggsMoto Buds SF500

Pros: Battery Life - lasts about 20 hours, I usually only use it for about 4 hours a day (travelling to/from work each day)

Cons: Not really a con, but I guess took me awhile to get adjusted to the ridged feel. Coming from the LG HBS, these are more tight around your neck when worn. Unlike the LG's, which are more loose on your neck. It will take me a minute to get acclimated to the Buds.

Other Thoughts: I say this is a good deal, since I only paid $40 versus the normal price of $69.99 on Motorola's site. If you can get it on sale, I say go for it.
