Pros: Works great with Linux. Tons of buttons. Remote looks nice and feels good in hand. Receiver responds quickly and barely uses any system resources.
Cons: Receiver needs a slightly longer cord to be used in most set-ups.
Other Thoughts: Only used in Linux (with LIRC), and it works great. I can't imagine that it wouldn't work well in Windows.

This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: -Works with Vista x64 -Lowers the system volume, so works with Media Player, VLC, etc -Easy to install (no drivers needed) -Price (under $50 shipped)
Cons: -The remote is physically oversized (tall but skinny) -Doesnt support bluetooth, have to use their IR box (annoying since the machine has bluetooth)
Other Thoughts: I hate Media Center, so needed to make sure one of the many remote options worked with Media Player instead. This one does. Desktop setting, being used to watch movies from bed so I really only use the volume controls which work perfect (saves me getting up to turn it up/down once started). Thanks NewEgg!
