Winegard sets the Platinum standard for VHF/UHF antennae. The Platinum HD7210 has 23 elements (7 VHF and 16 UHF) for a stunning picture. This Ghost Killer is ideal for use in cities and suburbs where signal reflections can cause ghosting. Before you can watch TV, you have to install the antenna, and Winegard makes it easy. The 75 ohm downlead coupler snaps into place eliminating the need for matching transformer with coax cable.

The antenna's steel hardware is zinc plated for corrosion resistance. All the connections are covered with polyethylene boots to keep the weather out. Double boom braces and a high impact ABS girder design also work to increase the antenna's durability. This will be the last antenna you need to buy.

  • newegg Outstanding VHF/UHF Signal Reception Capability The Winegard HD7210P features precise director spacing and highly efficient corner reflectors for high quality VHF/UHF signal reception in weak signal areas.
  • newegg Weather and Corrosion Resistance The Winegard HD7210P features zinc-plated steel hardware for maximum corrosion resistance and flexible polyethylene boot covers to keep connections clean, dry and weather-protected.

IDEAL FOR CITIES, SUBURBS: HD7210P GHOST KILLER

Ghost problems occur where there is signal for good reception, but buildings, trees, etc produce bouncing signals.

The solution is to install a relatively small antenna with medium gain, but with high front-to-back ratio.

HD7210P has these features, plus a special coupler which phases the antenna elements together electronically, increasing front-to-back ratio.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Great

Pros: This antenna does what I bought it for.

Cons: I really don't have any.

Other Thoughts: I put this antenna in my attic. Where I live at has a bunch of tall pine trees all around. I also live at the bottom of some very large hills. This antenna picks up stations that are about 10-12 miles away.with crystal clarity. I bought an antenna booster but haven't used it yet. If you get this antenna make sure you take the time to get it aimed in the right direction, it will make a huge difference.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat results at a great price

Pros: Well made. Works about as expected.

Cons: Neither Newegg nor the manufacturer's site display a reception color wheel to indicate its effectiveness.

Other Thoughts: I'm getting all the stations (7 digital, 1 analog) to be expected, per antennaweb.org. All about 26 miles away. Antenna is installed 1 ft. above the rafters, in my attic. I don't know if performance will vary with the seasons. I did see a few dropouts during a rain/lightning storm.

I was a bit worried, at first: The color wheel on the box shows YELLOW, GREEN, LT. GREEN. Antennaweb indicates that 3 of my broadcasters (5 of my channels) are actually RED and BLUE for reception, but they look good. In fact, the High Def prime-time, morning show and late show broadcasts are spectacular. If you have never paid for High Def. cable or satellite service, you may be as surprised as I was at the visual.

I do have one problem, for which I don't blame the antenna. My PBS station (2 of my channels) is located 102 degrees off from the other stations. I get very good images from them most of the time. But, also get occasional lines of noise and millisecond dropouts. Sometimes even major drops.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Antenna

Pros: Inexpensive, lightweight, and easy to install. As soon as I hooked it up, my HDTV's picture quality drastically increased. The reason I bought this one was that I wanted a UHF and VHF antenna that would work after the mandatory DTV cut-over. I mounted this in my crawl space (not the best placement I know) and still the picture is crystal clear.

Cons: Somewhat fragile, and the boom is 7 feet long. The antenna is almost entirely aluminum, which means that it's very subject to shipping damage. When mine arrived, a full foot of the boom had been snapped off due to shipping damage. I hooked it up anyways and still the picture is amazing. I considered RMA'ing the antenna, but it works so well I decided not to.

Other Thoughts: I still gave this 5 stars because the unit itself is amazing, and Newegg as always delivers. If any extra care can be taken to make sure it isn't damaged in shipping, I would recommend you do it.

5 out of 5 eggsThis thing is huge !

Pros: worked brought in channels I could not get with standard rabbit ears, nice price

Cons: bigger then I expected , this expands to 6 foot across !
I was able to trim down the antenna to a more reasonable size to fit into my utility room, easy to cut with a saw

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Product

Pros: Excellent for digital TV reception.(Analog is very good also!!) It's small size makes it easier to install, and if mounted outside it not very noticable. I am using this with no amplifier, and receive about 95% of the stations within 70 miles(About 40).

Cons: I had bought another antenna(Larger and more expensive), but the 7210 easily outperforms it, especially on the UHF frequencies.

Other Thoughts: Can't be beat for the price and size. Winegard is built to last

5 out of 5 eggsGreat antenna

Pros: This antenna performs better than anything I have ever tried. I had also recently purchased a Winegard 7082(much larger), but this thing well outperforms it on the UHF frequencies where the majority of digital broadcasts are found.(VHF performance is also excellent) It is very small, and it almost disappears if mounted outside. I am not using any amplification, but receive almost every station within 70 miles of me(Over 40). A perfect blend of sensitivity, and selectivity!!

Cons: The fact that I wasted my money on the other Winegard antenna

Other Thoughts: This thing rocks!!

5 out of 5 eggsStrong Antenna!

Pros: The Antenna arrived mostly unscathed, and set up easily. As it is winter the unit is just sitting on some boxes in the garage attic. Even so, I'm getting 90+ signal strength on the DTV, and crystal clear pictures on the analog!

Cons: Doesn't come with any sort of mast, though the clamp is integrated

Other Thoughts: It's a nicely designed antenna and seems very well made!
