DB4e DTV Antenna Description
From the Manufacturer
The DB4e UHF antenna provides free over-the-air digital and HDTV reception with no subscription, cable or satellite fees.
Bowtie antennas have been popular for over 60 years. While they offered an acceptable combination of power and size, they were designed for a different era.
The DB4e utilizes the latest advancements from the Antennas Direct design lab. The breakthrough technology of the enhanced series of bowtie antennas is smaller and more powerful. While it delivers twice the power of the bowties it replaces, the DB4e also specifically targets the core UHF DTV frequencies. We have also enhanced this antenna's ability to reject interference.
At a compact 23in. x 37in. form, the DB4e is the first broad spectrum antenna without the performance compromises typically seen in outdated designs of legacy antennas. With a generous beam width of 60 degrees, the DB4e offers reliable reception from widely spaced broadcast towers without the need for rotation. It has a range of 65+ miles making it the ideal antenna choice for suburban installations challenged with receiving signals through heavy foliage or roofing materials. Using anodized aluminum, DB4e antennas are engineered for strength and durability. The Antennas Direct lifetime warranty assures you of its superior build quality.
Watch All Your Favorite Shows
The new DB4e bowtie delivers FREE HD programming from TV networks such as ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX, including all their top shows.*
The Best Picture and Sound Quality
You can now experience HDTV in the highest-quality picture and sound available. Over-the-air broadcasts are transmitted in uncompressed, crystal clear 1080i; far surpassing what cable and satellite offer. Many local broadcasts are digitally aired in Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound giving you the ultimate soundstage for watching live television.
The Latest in Antenna Technology
Advanced design software allows this 23in. x 37in. antenna to be smaller and more powerful than ever. No other antenna in the category can rival its compact, powerful, dual-band performance.
It's All Free and Over-the-Air
Simply connect the DB4e antenna to your TV** using a coaxial cable, perform a channel scan, and in minutes you'll be enjoying free local programming. And the best part…never pay to watch TV again!

Pros: Great reception , I'm in Ventura,Ca. 93004 stations broadcast from over 45 miles away in L.A. Wish I was Hispanic or Asian because of so many stations for them. I get abc nbc cbs fox metv ion kdoc just to mention a few.
I can't believe someone gave this one star because he can't get pay stations with it? Does he know what an antenna is for?

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Great way to cut the cable and save some $$

5 out of 5 eggsAnother 45130 dude

Pros: I can pull in all Cincinnati and Dayton stations from 45130 which is great with a 50" HD LG TV. This thing is tough because the black cover over the center was cracked when I got it, the package looked like it had been ran over with a tank. I put some clear silicone over the crack, let it dry overnight, & mounted it. I am impressed with this wounded warrior lol.

Cons: Shipping destroyed this thing, but a little protective silione and voila, I didn't feel like shipping it back.

Other Thoughts: With a great deal on the 50" TV from Newegg, this antennae, I get all the networks and more and no bill, no bills. Yea man!

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than I expected.

Pros: Price.
I ran 2 televisions, a Tivo, and a dual Silicon Dust network tuner off this without an amplifier. But it was only 12 miles, and direct line of site.

Cons: I haven't found any. Note that this is NOT a UHF antenna.

4 out of 5 eggsDB4e easily pulls those signals in

Pros: Easy to assemble & install, I opted to roof mount mine. I'm quite impressed with this antenna, pulling in 19 line of sight stations available to me (exception is 1 lower power CBS affiliate) from two transmitters - 82 miles & 14 miles away. I am dealing with a pretty wide (55 degree) spread between those 2 xmitters, but the DB4e has a wide enough pattern that I'm able to lock in on both. I may try a pre-amp to get that missing CBS and boost the others, but other than that, quite impressed on how it handles from 82 miles away.

Cons: Construction feels a little flimsy, would have hoped for more than 2 bolts to hold the front and back sections together. Not so much worried about wind, as this is an open design, but rather the substantial snow & freezing rain I get in my location. Time will tell.

5 out of 5 eggsDB4E pulls through with demanding task

Pros: Light, Easy to Install, Great reception

Cons: None found

Other Thoughts: From Hamersville, Ohio (45130), I wanted a high gain antenna with a wide enough pattern to pull in both Cincinnati and Dayton. I aimed this antenna directly between the two and can pick up every station except CH 12 in Cincinnati, which is a VHF station. No matter, because I can get the CBS affiliate from Dayton, 60 miles away.
