Does this mount tilt up and down or left to right?

It tilts forward and backwards, up to a 15° angle I believe. Does not tilt left or right.

Question 2

Not really clear on the VESA system for fitment.  My TV is spec'd at 400 x 200 (40" LCD). 
Will this mount work or do I need to look for a mount that is specified at 400 x 200?

This mount will work with any size, as long your TV has the 4 screws to hold the TV on the back and not too heavy. I think from 32" to 60 is fine... but 70" is kinda heavy to hold. It is re-sizable and very flat. It was perfect for my 42" TV...

Question 3

Will this be compatible with a 70 inch sharp tv?

Don't know for sure but most likely will work on 70 in Sharp.  I used one on a 50 inch LG.  The mount is Universally adjustable and will match any mounting hole arrangement.  That said, 70 inch is maximum design for this mount and rather than stretch the limits of the wall mount, it might be safer to get a more robust size.

Question 4

This picture of the mount seems very long, does it adjust to shorter lengths? I have a 50" and it just seems way too long.

I have a 32" TV mounted on the wall with it and as long as I have it centered on the mount none of the mount shows.

Question 5

The height shows 26.18", I have a 32" that is about 21"  - obviously I don't want to see the bars above or below the TV - does anyone know if they move into themselves or something for the smaller TV's?   The width on it only says 16" I believe do they have the widths and heights flipped?   Picture almost looks like the bars are wider than the height visually.

I have a 32" Vizio mounted on this, and if you are looking straight at it the tops of the vertical bars show about 1". However, I do think that the quality of the wall mount, and the easy slide and tilt features out-weigh the bars being a little too tall for my TV.

Question 6

How does the tilting work?  I see the product description mentions lockable arms, and assume this refers to the tilt mechanism.  Does the tilt always have to be locked in place when there's a TV attached to it?  Basically, is the tilt set at installation, or can it be changed on the fly?  If it's the latter, what's involved?

You can set it ion the fly, its just not all that easy to do. It uses a t-handle locking mechanism. It allows for a little tilt capability, bit not a lot. The great thing about this mount is how easy it is to install. It even has it's own built in level. The two vertical pieces have a hook on them, that hook over the two parallel horizontal rails. You bolt them to your VESA mount, and just hang it on the wall rails.. then adjust the tilt.

Can i use this on Philips BDM3270QP2 computer monitor?

The monitor model you have provided lists to include the Vesa 100x100mm mount standard and would need to find a Vesa wall mount with this sizing standard. This Rosewill TV stand does not list to support 100mm x 100mm and would not be compatible.

Question 8

I have a Sanyo 55' 70lb Television that takes a 200 x 400 VESA mount, however that one isn't listed.  Although the 400 x 200 is listed and potentially could work because there are both numbers on there.  Yet on the website the 400 x 200 isn't even listed!!! I just don't know how VESA system works.  Will it work?  Anyone know?  and maybe have an easy way to educate me on it?

Common sense usually explains how a mounting bracket works. Look at the pictures shown and think about how and where you are mounting it.  Look at the brackets if the resemble what I see in the picture on this page you have to realize that they are two separate pieces of metal and can be set as far apart (or close together) as needed (as they aren't welded into a single piece), there are also a whole lot of holes in these pieces of metal (mounting brackets)  so it stands to reason the they probably will be pretty close to matching to other needed spacing, so most likely they'll fit a 200X400 connection as well as a 400X200 connection.  Vesa is just a standard this helps to insure that all mounting brackets match so there isn't a problem finding the correct dimension mountings for what ever we wish to mount.

Question 9

I have 24" center studs. I see that the "height" of this bracket is 26" and am hoping that is actually the installed width. Will this bracket mount to 24" studs?

Yeah that's the width, but there's a little over 1.5" space on either side before the holes so this mount would not be good for 24" studs.  If the set isn't very heavy, you could anchor it to a single stud in the middle and use drywall anchors on the sides, but that's a gamble.

Question 10

My 32" TV lists the hole pattern on the mount as 100 mm x 100 mm.  Will this product work for my TV?

I cannot say for sure, as mine is hooked up to a 50" but I would say probably.  The tv connects to the vertical bars and as you can see there are many holes for size.  My tv is 200x200mm and there are holes to set it smaller still.  Please note that this bracket should be set on 2 studs so it could limit the positioning of the tv which might be more of a problem with a smaller set.  I have a 32" in my bedroom wall mounted with a one stud hanger with no issue if you want to compare products.  These things are rated for way more than tv's weigh today I must add.
