5 out of 5 eggsGreat PC Monitor

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Excellent, vivid colors. You need to adjust this monitor when you get it. Get into the settings, go advanced and start tweaking the settings to how you like them. It appears to me that this monitor is set to some power saving lower light mode out of the box. After cranking things up this thing shines and has breathed new life into my gaming experience on my computer. Lots of inputs, speakers, excellent viewing angle. It was worth every penny, and it wasn't a whole lot of pennies. I was looking at 27" monitors and decided to head over to the TV section at my local store. I found that the 32" TV's were better in quality and price from the screens that were being sold as computer monitors. I eliminated all of the "smart" TV while browsing and found this no nonsense LG monitor and saved about $100 over a sammy that would have had a bunch of useless junk for a monitor that is hooked to a PC. In reading many other reviews, I found that lots of others did research and settled on this monitor.

Cons: Know that the stand is not adjustable, but it has a VESA mount so you have options there.

Other Thoughts: Sold as a TV but shines as a PC monitor. Can be picked up for very cheap compared to monitors in the PC section of stores.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Product/Satisfied/Great as a PC monitor

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: 1. Clear picture, good contrast (try all of the picture settings, it may not look it's best out of the box)
2. Sleek Design/Narrow Bezel
3. Lot's of menu options with a clean UI and a few handy features
4. Great as a PC monitor, full 1920x1080p capable when connected to a PC (you may need to use the "Just Scan" setting to get the full resolution)

Cons: 1. Sound quality isn't the greatest but it's not bad either. The settings allow you to tweak the sound enough to become passable. While the sound is clear and acceptable during casual channel surfing, I personally wouldn't recommend playing music or watching a new movie on this TV unless you have an external sound system such as a soundbar connected to it.

Other Thoughts: 1. ***I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you mess around with the picture settings and try everything until you are content with the image. For me, the picture seemed too dark out of the box and certain colors weren't accurate. For example, YouTube has a white background, but the page looked a little yellow during my first visit with this TV. It looks perfect now that I've changed the settings.***
2. Some other reviews have negatively mentioned a noticeable motion blur. I personally have not had any issues with motion blur or even noticed any difference in motion between this TV and the others that I own.
3. I was looking for an appropriately sized TV that was capable of 1920x1080p on my PC so that I could switch back and forth between my game consoles, PC and cable box without the need of multiples screens and this TV does all of that very well. I couldn't be happier with this choice.

5 out of 5 eggscomputer monitor picture

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: -great picture, TV with computer monitor quality
-Super fast shipping, overnight without paying for overnight
-no noticeable input lag while gaming
-price at newegg was best, couldn't find a better deal at the "big box" retailers.

Cons: -no dolby digital output
-screen is a little more reflective than other flat-screens but doesn't bother me, may be bothersome if you use in a very bright room.

Other Thoughts: bought this TV after reviewing a few industry website recommendations. Wanted to upgrade my 27" LG LCD monitor's size and get TV capability. Not a technical expert but used recommended picture setup from AVSforum.com and the picture is absolutely perfect. Primarily used for my XB1, gaming & netrflix. No input lag at all playing COD ghosts or Titanfall, just as good as a PC monitor, it has an IPS panel. You'll want to use the expert picture setup rather than preset modes. Game mode, cinema mode, etc. do not do this TV picture justice. There's an incredible amount of user setup selections but just copy the numbers from the professionals over at AVSforum.com. After I did this the picture was so much better than any of the preset picture modes.

4 out of 5 eggsexcellent computer monitor.

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Makes a great computer monitor. Makes my 24 inch dell monitors (which are on my left and right) look like they are lacking in detail. There is more detail/color in the lg TV. purchased mine for 350 because it's hard to find a 1080P 32 inch monitor,,,which in my opinion is the biggest size for viewing angle/resolution for something you're going to be sitting close too.

no issues with blurring while gaming...

Cons: The only con that I have is that the tv will turn itself off when the computer goes into sleep mode. Where as a monitor just fires back up when you hit the mouse, you have to find the tv remote (because the powerbutton is all stuck up in the back behind the tv...bad placement) to turn it on.

Other Thoughts: buy 2, but if you buy 3, you'll need to buy some extra expensive adapters to get 3 monitors to work! ( this is with any computer set up.)

3 out of 5 eggsGreat TV, for awhile..

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Good colors, easy setup, has been a great tv except...

Cons: I bought a PS4 on launch day and after a few hours of playing it, the tv started experiencing the same issues that some of the other purchasers have mentioned. It started turning itself off, and would not come back on until removing the HDMI cord in the back. Although this issue is new to my getting the PS4, I'm hard pressed to believe it's the PS4 and not the TV (Otherwise the news would have already gotten hold of it).

4 out of 5 eggsGreat tv

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Great colors, very clear picture. The speakers are pretty standard for a flat panel, I use external speakers exclusively. The value was great at the time of purchase and along with free shipping can't go wrong. Thanks Newegg

Cons: I had the issue of the TV turning on and off after I had rearranged my setup. I contacted LG customer service and they advised me to not use it with my surge protector and that solved the problem. My surge protector has protected and unprotected sockets. Evidently I had it plugged into a different socket than I had before thus causing the on and off issue. If you have the same issue I would advise not using a surge protector with this model.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Display

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: I've had this display for about 2 weeks and works great so far. I use it as my computer monitor for my PC build and has everything I need. Plenty of input capacity and has great picture display.

If you are going to use it as a PC display, you can easily set one of the inputs to "PC" using the menu options so it displays correctly. Since you only use one input doing so, it can still behave like a normal TV on the other input options, which makes it versatile as opposed to using a normal computer monitor.

CS:GO and Black Ops looks great on this.

Cons: None that I've come across yet.

Other Thoughts: Just ordered a second one to have dual monitors and waiting (very impatiently) to arrive!! Great value at ($299.99-$350.00).

5 out of 5 eggsLG and Newegg tops again

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Picture quality very good.
Sound better than expected.
'Smaller' than previous 32" TV

Cons: If any, lacking in inputs

Other Thoughts: Bought this TV as a replacement for a Sony 32" that went bad after 5 years of use, and extensive research for two weeks. Went through a test on the hookups with satellite, standard TV, Blu-Ray and Wii system. Everything works, everything (including Wii) came up full screen 16:9. My stereo doesn't have a connection for it, but that can be rememdied by purchasing two Y cables or a Y cable converter to connect to the digital audio port in the back. Hoping this one lasts longer than 5 years. :-)

5 out of 5 eggs

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: Very good picture, standard color somewhat on the cool side, which I like. The screen can be watched from wide angles, almost like an IPS panel. The speakers are loud and clear, at least for voice, which I care about. Works well as TV set and PC monitor.

Cons: The HDMI connection to a PC produces overscan, unusual for flat panel screens. It was easily corrected using the Intel HD3000 control panel by adjusting the aspect ratios. Cinema mode also corrects it, but it changes the color temperature. I gave it 5 eggs since I could easily correct the overscan.

4 out of 5 eggsTV is great, too bad LG lies about USB connectivity

This review is from: LG 32LN5300 32" Class 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV

Pros: The TV itself is fine for the price, good color and all of that

Cons: LG says on their website that this TV is capable of playing video files via usb however that is an outright lie. I contacted them about this and they said that this model cannot play video files, despite the spec sheet saying it can and their answers page saying it can
