5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Absolutely fantastic ram, has done everything I asked of it and more. Not as flashy as some ram but I like the orange color. I overvolted to 1.65v, running without error at DDR3 2200 with 9-9-9-24 for timings.

Cons: Only con I can think of is Newegg is out currently so I can't order another set.

Other Thoughts: System:
i5-3350P @ 3.7GHz
ASrock Z77 Extreme3
Sapphire HD7950
Seasonic 850W PSU

5 out of 5 eggsOutstanding Memory

Pros: I've been using Crucial Balistix (DDR2 Tracers) in 2 rigs for the past 4 years and loved them. My wifes set died and after contacting Crucial about the problem they were RMA'd for a free replacement under Crucials Lifetime Warranty.

This set was pulled from my wifes rig for use in my new build (listed below) this past weekend for temp use until I bought memory for my rig. Needless to say these are staying in my rig and I'm going to order a second set..

Have them running 24/7 @ 1886mhz on stock voltage and have had them up as far as 1960mhz so far and they run very smooth and take everything I dish out.

I would recommend these to anyone looking to overclock they're system. I went to the Crucial site and used the memory match and these were the only one's to pop up as Guaranteed-compatible with the ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0.

Great Ram...

Cons: Not really a con, but I'm wanting another set and Neweeg is out....

Other Thoughts: Rig:
FX-8350 @ 4.7ghz
Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0
8gb's of Crucial Balistix Tacticals LP
Asus 7850-DC2-2GD5

5 out of 5 eggsGreat RAM

Pros: Low profile (huge plus in my SG05 m-ITX build), great timings, and XMP options for low voltage (1.35v) or high voltage (1.5v). Very stable.

Cons: Slightly expensive.

4 out of 5 eggslow-voltage bummer

Pros: This RAM register very high marks when I scanned it with multiple performance and memtest. It is fast. My system recognized, and automatically configured it with no problems. It ran with no problems at all @ 9-9-9-24, 1333mhz. Crucial produces awesome memory, and they have a great website app to determine what memory is right for your system.I have a HP Pavillion p7 1520t with i5 3470 - Geforce GT620 & 6GB RAM. This RAM automatically dedicated an additional 1.5 GB of graphics memory to my system.

Cons: It didn't operate @ the specified 1600mhz. Instead it would only operate @ 1333mhz. However, I believe it was due to the fact that my mobo wouldn't run low-voltage RAM @ 1600mhz.

Other Thoughts: It would be nice if Crucial would reply to my review.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for you comments and we appreicate that you like our memory and website. These modules offer two XMP profiles if your system supports them, one is low voltage (1.35V) the other is the same speed 1600 but with standard voltage (1.5V) It may be your platform requires the standard voltage to run at the rated specifications (1600)

Please contact our support at 1-800-336-8896 or online at www.crucial.com/help and we will assist you in obtaining the rated speed. If your system doesn't fully support XMP you may have to manual configure them in the BIOS or there may be a BIOS update available from HP. We'll do what we can to assist if you like.

Regards,
Crucial

5 out of 5 eggsGenius!

Pros: Micron D9 chips. Scale great with voltage and are capable of 1866 8-8-8-24-30 @ 1.5V. These kits are a no-brainer for everyone. The only way you will get better sets are at $200+ pricepoints.

Cons: Something like a HCH9 Samsung based kit or Hynix CFR are gonna cost you. These are great day to day runners and don't cost you your first born child.

Other Thoughts: Buy these and be happy.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat latency, amazing voltage.

Pros: Great latency timing 8-8-8-24.
Very low voltage @1.35V.
Super low profile - lots of clearance for CPU cooler.

Cons: Color's not great, but I honestly don't care.

Other Thoughts: I read the other reviews saying that the memory isn't stable at 1.35V and they had to jack it up to 1.5V for stability. I've not had that issue. I have an AMD based mobo and I manually input the timings and voltage in BIOS. Ran Memtest86+ with no errors. Very impressive performance for an amazing price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great overclocking potential. Running at 2133MHz@1.62V with 9-9-9-24 timimg.

The mem looks great and feels solid.
Black PCB covered by compact metal heatsink.
Better than over-rated Corsair Vengeance 8GB just retired.

MB: Asus Maximus V Gene
CPU: i7 2600K

Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent RAM

Pros: Great overclocking potential. Give it 1.65v and it can be easily pushed to 2200mhz cas10 (at least for me).

Cons: Thought it could be pushed farther but whatever results on 1.65v is the limit.

Other Thoughts: The low profile design is unlike any other. The fans for my Phanteks PH-TC14PE has plenty of room and my computer case can now close nicely. Great buy! Highly recommend! :D

5 out of 5 eggsGreat but needed tweaking in Bios

Pros: The low profile really helps when using a giant heatsink such as the one i have (Noctua NH-D14 SE2011).

Stays cool even after hours of use.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I now have 32GB of this ram installed on my Asus P9X79 LE Motherboard.By default it ran at 1333mhz and 9-9-9-24 timings so i had to go into bios and use the XMP profile to make it run at the correct speed and timings.I used the XMP profile that had the voltage at 1.35v to 1.50v.Even though this ram is supposed to use 1.35v i could not run it at 1600mhz and 8-8-8-24 unless i had voltage at 1.5v.If i ran at those settings at 1.35v i would get a bsod.
