4 out of 5 eggsWorks pretty good.

Pros: It's been reliable and working great.

Cons: I had the harddrive crash twice when I turned off my computer without shutting it down. Luckily I made two partitions, the first partition was 80gb, the second was 320gb. That saved me a lot of hassle cause all I had to do is reformat my 80gb partition which is the partition for the operating system and applications. confusing but helped me.

Other Thoughts: For this drive, I'd recommend keeping your safedata on the second partition while keeping your applications on drive C.

5 out of 5 eggsGood drive

Pros: Very quiet drive, fast transfer speeds, very large capacity.

Cons: None, it works as it should and hasn't failed

Other Thoughts: Runs pretty cool, and is much quieter than the 500 GB of another manufacturer that I own(has something to do with the ocean.....)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Drive for a week

Pros: I bought 2 of these and coupled them with a promise raid PCI card and setup a RAID 0 array. Speed was very good and my customer loved how fast it made his computer.

Cons: After 1 week a drive failed which killed the array and my customer was upset. I had to go purchase 2 retail drives to get him up and going again asap!

Other Thoughts: I gave the drive 5 eggs because they are good performing drives. Even though 1 failed I can not discount its performance for that. Drives fail, it happens all the time. If there was 1 drive manufactur with NO failures then they would dominate the market. Its always a "hope for the best" situation when you purchase computer parts.

5 out of 5 eggsfantastic drive

Pros: I was buying this drive for extra storage on my server and what i got was a raptor-beating beast of a drive. This drive has a max transfer speed of 94MB/s and an average of 75MB/s along with the 12.8ms access time and it being silent (albeit in a loud system)

Cons: it runs somewhat warm.......but its between two raptors.....i dont think any drive could run cool between two raptors

Other Thoughts: last week i decided to put these in my main rig instead of my server and this drive is perfect to run next to a raptor RAID 0 array. Perfect balence of storage and speed

4 out of 5 eggsNice Drive

Pros: First drive died after a week. I didn't send it back in time (within a month )for Newegg to RMA. Sent it back to WD and they sent me a working one back. Newegg is great about RMAing stuff when needed. That is great for me and my customers.
This HD is a good deal for the cost.

Cons: None. Newegg ROCKS!

5 out of 5 eggsGood price, Good drive

Pros: I wanted a Terabyte, but out of all the reviews, this was the biggest drive I found that had excellent ratings. It's been very reliable.

Cons: Because of it's smaller size I have to put everything on DVD's much sooner, but that's just a minor inconvenience.

Other Thoughts: I just heard that there's a 640GB hard drive for just a bit more with great reviews also. Oh well :(
