Drive/Software won't play blu-ray

Pros:
Seemed just fine until I tried a Blu-Ray movie...
Cons:
I don't know if the issue is the drive itself, or the included Cyberlink software, but something is not allowing our newly-purchased Blu-Ray movie to play. At first, PowerDVD said it needed a patch...100Mb worth of patch. OK, so we downloaded and installed the patch.
Still won't play BD. Still says maybe there's an update, but then the updater says it's up to date. Will. Not. Play. Blu-Ray. Period. So it's value to me is zero, and it was a waste of money, and if my customer support email to Cyberlink doesn't immediately produce results, I am returning it for a refund. Useless.
Overall Review:
Vista Ultimate 64-bit, HD4870, Phenom II 720, 8Gb RAM...and I can't watch a movie.
