it’s gotta be the 9070 XT or 5070 Ti right? And the 9070 XT is generally regarded as the better value by far?

I’m not sure that’s what you call “midrange” 
All those GPU’s from the 9070 XT, 5070 Ti, and the 4080 Super are good GPU’s. I’d make sure that the CPU matches the GPU power level at the same time. You’d want your computer to be built evenly in power.

My pc might be cpu bottlenecked, I have a 9600x and a 5070 ti… I play at 1440p though…

Oh absolutely, the RTX 5090 is definitely midrange. Right shmack between a potato and NASA’s render farm. And let’s not forget how it struggles to run Minecraft at a cinematic 20 FPS with shaders. I heard the RTX Pro 6000 can almost handle Minesweeper at 1440p, too. Incredible times we live in.
