Works great in a DVR
Pros: Fast enough to work in a DirecTV HD DVR. Quiet enough not to be noticed in the living room. Good warranty. Very good price.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I first tried to use a WD Green drive, but even with 64MB cache that drive was too slow for the DVR. With this Spinpoint drive, the DVR seems work even faster than it did with the OEM drive in it.
Pretty good, for a while
Pros: Good firmware, decent control interface, dual band with (theoretical) high bandwidth, guest network ability, multiple SSIDs
Cons: After a year or so, N network became weak and useless. I end up using G everywhere because it works everywhere in my house. N is weak, even in the same room with the router. tried all different channels, but nothing works, even in 2.4Ghz mode.
Overall Review: It is frustrating that in 2014, it seems like no mfr can make a good, reliable, long-lasting router. They all seem to be somewhat disposable, with a limited lifetime, even you are willing spend more a "good one."
Good motherboard for the price, worked great right out of the box with minimal configuration necessary.
Pros: - Easy to set up - very nice GUI for BIOS configuration. - Works with some older DDR3 modules, so I didn't have to invest in new RAM - Works with a wide range of processors - Works with A-Series GPU processors for on-board video - HDMI, VGA, DVI video out - Lots of SATA ports supporting multiple RAID configurations - Included a couple of SATA cables
Cons: Very minor: no installation screws or cable management straps included. I guess these usually come with the case.
Overall Review: I have not used it long, so I cannot comment on the product's longevity. Initial quality is good.
Very disappointed
Pros: None. Avoid it.
Cons: Lots of faded areas in prints with this toner. Drum was printing fine with previous toner before the new one was installed, and prints fine with the old toner replaced (until it starts to fade consistently again). I've tried shaking the toner and cleaning the drum, and printed over 100 pages, and it never got any better. I made the mistake of buying before I really needed it, so now it's too late to return it for a refund.
Overall Review: Also, the free soap dispenser that came with it also never worked. I've had good experiences with Rosewill products before, but this time was terrible.
Fantastic Value
Pros: The display is bright and colors are very good. Setup was very easy - Windows 7 recognized the monitor immediately and automatically adjusted to the native resolution. Only required a little bit of manual adjustment to correct the contrast level to get a very good picture. Stand allows vertical angle adjustment.
Cons: The stand has no height adjustment, and it feels a little wobbly.
Overall Review: I have a decent Acer conventional 4x3 ratio monitor that I have been using for several years, and I thought its image was very good - until I set up this new Asus next to it. Now the whites on the old monitor look gray, and the overall brightness and sharpness is very noticeably better on this display. Watched some HD video on it and it is simply spectacular.
These fans blow. Air.
Pros: Cooling seems to be at least as good as it was with the fan that was replaced. Very quiet. Convenient package of two fans.
Cons: Power wires are too short to reach across the case, so mounting options are often limited.
Overall Review: Good deal for two decent fans. I don't know if these would be a great choice for a high-performance gaming rig, but for normal everyday cooling needs they fit the bill.
