These are amazing for the price

Superlux HD668B Professional Studio Standard Monitoring Headphones
Superlux HD668B Professional Studio Standard Monitoring Headphones

Pros: The Superlux HD668B headphones are incredible. These are semi-open (AKA open) back headphones which means that you get a good soundstage and premium audio quality, but sacrifice complete noise cancellation. The bass is very clean, the mids are clean, and the treble isn't overwhelming. The headphones have a removable cable option and ship with a 1 meter and 3 meter cable. Because the connection on the headphones is male, you could even daisy chain them together to make a 4 meter "cable". These are better than any gaming headset. Playing battlefield, I can locate where my enemies are because the of the open soundstage. Battlefield has some of the best sound of any game and these headphones allow you to experience it to its fullest potential. And if you need a mic, you can buy a plethora of mics online including the modmic which attaches to your headphones to create a headset of sorts. Movies also sound amazing. Because the frequency response range is 10Hz to 30kHz, you can feel explosions, or pounding doors, or dinosaurs stepping closer to your jeep.... voice clarity is good, and once again, there is no range that is completely overwhelming.

Cons: The only cons I have would be the construction and the ear pads. These cost 50 bucks so they are going to compromise somewhere. The construction is completely plastic - there is no metal anywhere on these headphones (ok inside the headphones there is but you know what i mean). This makes them super light, but not as durable. The ear pads are pleather, not the obviously superior velvet or velour. They kinda make your ears sweat and feel a bit uncomfortable after long periods of use. The good thing is that these pads are the same as AKG K240 pads, so you can find some better quality pads for about $10.

Overall Review: The benefits of these headphones far outweigh the problems. If you are somebody on a budget looking for audiophile sound, these are definately for you. They are stunningly good.

Very good

MSI - 15.6" - Intel Core i7-4720HQ - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M - 12 GB DDR3L - 1TB HDD - Windows 8.1 64-Bit - Gaming Laptop (PE60 2QD-060US )

Pros: This laptop has great specs for the $799.99 I paid on a sale. In fact, I couldn't find better anywhere. The screen is AMAZING. The graphics card handles battlefield 3 on ultra settings averaging around 40-50 fps. It is probably a good idea to but an ssd inside because as with any system, especially this one, the hd is the bottleneck in the performance. The backlit keyboard works very well. It looks more professional than the G-series laptops, but offers the same performance. I bought these for college and they hold up very well.

Cons: The battery life is pretty weak and as an extra "perk" MSI decided to deny you the removable battery feature that nearly every laptop has. The screen is REALLY flexible. The deck is solid, but the screen flexes with just the slightest pressure. MSI doesn't have the truecolor driver for windows 7 so when I switched to windows 7, I couldn't install truecolor..... now I have a useless button. The sound quality is TERRIBLE. This is the biggest reason why I'm dropping an egg. MSI hyped up the sound on this laptop, and it was all for nothing because the sound is super bright and tinny. There is practically no bass at all. I don't expect much from laptop sound and speakers, but when you hype it up and don't deliver, then IMO it deserves one less egg.

Overall Review: All in all, this is a really good buy. The screen quality is unbeatable, the specs are great. If I'm honest, I don't even use the onboard speakers, I have a nice pair of headphones, so if you do too, the sound wont be an issue. BUY IT!!!

A bit larger than I thought

DEEPCOOL NEPTWIN V2-CPU Cooler Dual 120mm LED PWM Fans Twin-tower Polished Copper Base Metal Mounting Kit Support LGA2066/AM4
DEEPCOOL NEPTWIN V2-CPU Cooler Dual 120mm LED PWM Fans Twin-tower Polished Copper Base Metal Mounting Kit Support LGA2066/AM4

Pros: Cools down the CPU really well. I had a stock cooler and an extra case fan trying to cool down my fx-6300 at a 4.3GHz overclock - not really a smart idea. I had idle temps of around 35C and load temps of 80+C. This thing cooled down idle temps (without the extra fan) to ~30C and drastically cooled the load temps to ~55C. I ran Prime95 for over one hour and never got above 59C. Super impressive. Installation wasn't too bad either - except the fact that I had to take my motherboard out to install it (partially due to my cruddy case). The fans DO come with anti-vibration pads, but they are a bit worn down for reasons that I will talk about in the cons section. Also, the little wire clips that attach the fans to the heatsink aren't that flimsy and do actually hold the fan tight to the heatsink. They have to be a little bit flexible in order to mount the fans properly so there shouldn't really be any problems with the fan clips. It also looks really cool with the blue LED fans. I have a blue theme running on my case and these LEDs make it look really cool (pun intended). This cooler is a lot less than any similarly performing noctua cooler (NH-D14?) and looks way better than ANY Noctua cooler. And if I asked an impartial person to figure out why the Noctua costs $40 more (almost 2x as much), I don't think he/she would be able to tell me why. Nor would I for that matter.

Cons: There aren't too many, but a few nonetheless. The first is with respect to the way the cooler was shipped. I wasn't really happy with the fact that the fans were already attached to the heatsink in the box. In order to install the heatsink, you have to take the fans off anyway. The other problem with this was the fact that the anti-vibration pads on the fans got torn and mangled, making them a bit difficult to deal with. The cooler is also bigger than I thought it would be so it barely fit into my case. I actually had to take the plastic window on the inside of the lid and put on the outside because the tips of the copper heatpipes were catching on it. Other than that, it fit okay.

Overall Review: With respect to the heatsink being too big - thats just a problem that I had and the mangy anti-vibration pads aren't really a big deal. That being said... BUY THIS COOLER!!! It lowered my temps immeasurably under load and even at idle. I am extremely impressed with the quality, performance, and cost of this cooler. In my opinion, all three factors make it much better than the Noctua NH-D15. My system: AMD FX-6300 ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 WD Black 500GB G.SKILL 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 RAM CM 525 Extreme PSU GTX-660 DeepCool Neptwin CPU heatsink Sentey Cobra Extreme Division case

A bit noisy

Dynatron DF1212025BM-3/4G Case Fan
Dynatron DF1212025BM-3/4G Case Fan

Pros: It moves a lot of air. I know everyone is saying that, but to further emphasize the point, I will too!! It also has the ever-so handy 3/4 pin power connector.

Cons: It is rather noisy. It's the noisiest fan that I have by far. I was kind of expecting that seeing as it's 120mm as 2200rpm, but I will dock a 1/2 egg anyway. The other 1/2 egg comes from it's effective-ness. It cools my Idle temps a bit (down about 5C), but barely does anything to load temps which is more of what I wanted. Under load, I still exceed 75C... which is a problem. I'll probably buy a different CPU fan/heatsink to acompany this fan.

Works

Acer 20" 60 Hz LCD Monitor 5 ms 1600 x 900 D-Sub, DVI G206HLBbd (UM.DG6AA.B01)

Pros: No dead pixels, clear display... works as it should. Got mine for 50% off so what is there to complain about?

Cons: None.

G.SKILL 8GB RAM

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9D-8GBRL

Pros: The first pro that should ever be considered is if the product works, which this does... very well in fact. It is easy to overclock and gives me plenty of wiggle room for my system. It also looks good and is functional in my case. It isn't ludicrously tall, so even with 2 slots filled, I can still fit just about any CPU cooler with no problems. It was well packaged - nothing was damaged or broken. For any other potential builds or upgrades I might do, G.SKILL will be my first choice in RAM.

Cons: None to speak of!
