Pros: Great picture when it works.
Cons: Terrible unit that freezes every time I use it. It is the most frustrating thing. I will be using it for 1/2 hour and go to shut it off and the remote will not work. Come to find out, it cannot be turned off on the control panel either. Finally the unit will go dark for no reason and fail to turn on. Bad news.
Other Thoughts: Avoid at all costs.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Great image quality. Two hdmi ports. Quiet. Standard mounting holes. Fast start up and shut down. Backlit remote. Standard settings -- like vivid make it great right out of the box. The bulb clams an amazing 6000 hours (if I'm not mistaken).
Cons: As others have said, the build quality is not great. If you need different inputs then hdmi you are out of luck. I was unable to access the menu without a signal input. At one point the unit locked up and could not be turned off until it was unplugged. 3D requires dongle (sold separately) and RF or DLP LINK 3D glasses which is to be expected. But if you have IR glasses -- like I do -- you will need new glasses.
Other Thoughts: I purchased this when my acer h5360 720p projector died mysteriously. We immediately noticed a better picture quality with this Optoma. Mine is mounted on the ceiling and the mount fit perfectly in the holes (unlike the acer which had no mounting capability). It's much quieter then the Acer. I don't know (yet) about the 3D, but I expect good things.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Obihai OBi200 VoIP Telephone Adapter with Google Voice & SIP
Pros: I don't know how Ooma and the others will stay in business with this thing on the market. With new "official" support from Google Voice, you can use this adapter to make free calls nationwide and Canada. If you don't like GV, use some of the many other offerings with low per minute charges. And it will take a fax (with GV). This thing is out of sight.
Cons: Setup and configuration with some providers can get confusing. Took me the better part of a day. GV no longer supports voicemail message indicator with Obi.
Other Thoughts: The annoying delay and somewhat sketchy sound quality I was getting from my 5 year old Ooma hub was getting on my nerves. Now, with Obi, I get crystal clear calling like my mother gets with her Cablevision provided phone service. And the array of choices, from call block, call forward, three way calling, call return and many more, has me stunned. With Ooma you would have to pay 100 bucks a year. With this its all free using Google Voice. Simply amazing.READ FULL REVIEW
