32GB sticks that work great in my MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon with a Ryzen 1700X!
Pros: Monster-sized DIMMs. Allows up to 128GB RAM in a MB with four DIMM-slots. Worked without any special BIOS settings in my MB
Cons: 32GB DIMMs might not work in all MBs (supposedly some X370/B3x0 MBs might not recognize 32GB DIMMs with Ryzen 1000-series CPUs.) Make sure your MB is using the latest BIOS (my MSI uses "ComboPi1.0.0.4/SMU v46.54" and recognizes all the DIMMs)
Overall Review: I am running a 'whitebox' ESXi homelab server and was running out of memory with 64GB (4x16GB) of RAM. I researched to see if my motherboard supported 32GB DIMMs, and found some anecdotal evidence of support on MSI X370 boards running 2000/3000 Ryzens. I decided to take a chance and bought 2 DIMMs... Now I have 96GB of RAM (2x32GB+2x16GB) and everything is great! If I need 128GB, I can swap out the 16's for 32's. 5 Golden Eggs!
Response to Esote
Pros: I did not purchase this item. I just wanted to respond to Esote's statement regarding the 'proprietary' USB connector. That connector is actually the industry-standard plug for USB3.0 micro-USB. If the cord fails, you can just buy another. Or if it's too short, buy a longer one... like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812422985
Cons: If it has a Seagate inside, then no thanks.
The affordable way to 12th gen!
Overall Review: bought this for my son's rig to upgrade from an ancient i3 2nd gen.
Works perfectly with my little 12400f
Pros: Good price Plenty of M.2 and PCIe slots 2 of the M.2 slots are PCIe 4.0 x1 slots are all open backed, so they can use x2-x16 cards (at x1 speed) Looks nice with my other all-black components Has built-in RGB strip with BIOS controls, if you like that sort of thing
Cons: Asrock's B660 line of motherboards don't have the best reputation due to the power delivery circuitry. The Pro RS seems to be the best of the family, though.
Overall Review: A perfect match for a locked I3, I5 or I7. Just keep the MOSFETs cool on high-end CPUs.
Works!!
Pros: Lots of paste in the tube. Thick enough to stay in place, but not too thick to be difficult to spread.
Cons: The endcap usually ends up with paste on it, and it's tough to keep clean
Overall Review: I haven't done any benchmarks to see how effective it is compared to generic paste, but it works and the price was right. I'm happy with the thickness of the paste... it spreads easily on the CPU or GPU, but doesn't clump or roll around on the surface... nor is it too thin. It has the perfect consistency. It's also quite sticky, so be careful when removing heatsinks... it's strong like glue.
Perfect for the price!
Pros: Clamp meter Work light Capacitance function Lighted display
Cons: The clamp is a bit thick, making it a challenge to get around tight wiring. The power-off timer beep sounds exactly like my UPS when it's running on battery. Freaks me out every time.
Overall Review: I am happy to report it functions as expected. The clamp meter told me how efficient my PC PSU was for my mining rig (80%), removing all mystery regarding the power consumption. The work light is also a nice touch, in case I need to use it in a poorly lit area. Super happy.
Fast ship. Decent quality Using as a set of 'ramps' leading to a cat superhighway in my living room :D
