This review is from: SilenX EFX-12-15 120mm Effizio Quiet Case Fan
Pros: Does move a fair amount of air, feels pretty solid
Cons: rubber mounts are hard to put in correctly
while quiet in open air, as soon as you add any kind of restriction (dust filter) gets much louder, still quieter than old 39db fans, not the advertised 15db for sure
Other Thoughts: just not as good as corsair air series fansREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: MASSCOOL FD08025S1M4 80mm Case Cooling Fan
+Built in 3/4 pin plugs
+Nifty tubing over wires (feels silicone coated)
+Cord seems to be plenty long
Cons: -Sleeve bearing
-Far louder than i expected
-Airflow cut down more than I expected through mesh with small holes
-4 pin molex connector is one sided, no piggybacking (more annoying than it sounds)
I purchased 4, and one of the 4 hums in any position other that blowing downwards (even to the side) so my computer now draws in the top
Other Thoughts: Overall, pretty disappointed with the fans, but I did only pay $2.45 each, so I suppose I can't really complain
This fan is not for a high end build, but if you need some cheap fans, they would be perfect
Pros: First off, this is a beautiful case, i like the all black styling, they even include a bunch of black hardware, how neat!
This case is BIG (upgraded from Thermaltake armor)
The included fans are pretty quiet, there is a small hum, but not annoyingly loud.
Filters on fans are a nice touch, as my house is very dusty. (Armor was a dust magnet inside)
Front panel has 4 USB ports (2 are 3.0) which is very nice. (eSATA and firewire too)
The power switch sliding cover is a neat feature
the holes in the motherboard tray for running cables are useful, but it would be nice if it would have been one continues one (my mobo has the SATA right at the end of one)
Power supply cover is nice, covers clutter
VGA holder is so nice. Sagging card always scared me, the holder is very sturdy!
Hot swap bays on front are a neat feature
5.25" covers are mesh, and easy to remove! just pinch and pull (unlike armor!)
most parts are easy to take off (front, side, top panels)
hot swap trays have 2.5 su
Cons: Second top fan not included, not a big deal
only 5 internal 2.5" bays, again, not a big (for me)
on hotswap board the power is on the wrong side to be able to use 90 degree conectors for SATA, just an ascetic issue.
hard drive trays feel flimsy
usb3 connection has no internal header (not their fault)
Heavy (although that's a good thing, its rock solid)
The extra VGA fan holder is a pain, and doesn't even fit if you have an excessively long card (I have 4850x2)
VGA holder only fits a 80x80x15mm fan which are hard-ish to find, it would have been nice to just include one!
side fan shroud does NOT fit with the VGA holder (no big deal, didn't like it anyway)
A bit expensive, but not crazy
Other Thoughts: Overall a very nice case! a few minor annoyances, but nothing major wrong with it. However 5 HDD bays could be a problem for some people.
A bit too heavy to lug around to LAN parties, but certainly solid enough for transport.
Coincidentally, it looks very nice with Cooler Master V8 in it.
