Is this CPU compatible with the ASUS Z170 PRO GAMING? It is the same chipset LGA1151, but I want to make sure there won't be any other compatability issues.

This CPU will not be compatible with the z170 chipset motherboards. Even though they share the same socket type (LGA1151), it will be incompatible.

Please look for z370 (with BIOS update) or z390 boards as they are compatible.

I need some help which mother board is compatible for this?

Enter an answer to tZ370 works with BIOS update but...realize you will need an 8th gen processor in order to update the BIOS. Should have been fixed by now (March 2019) with boards shipping with updated BIOS but be cautious about older stock.his question.

What do you guys use to cool this? I have a Noctua NH-D15 and I'm wondering if that will be sufficient. I do not plan on overclocking.

I personally went with a Cooler Master ML360R for the aesthetic. But the NH-D15 should be more than enough to cool it at stock speeds as long as your case has enough clearance and ventilation. Be sure to use a good quality thermal paste like Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut as well.

Does this item come with Thermal Paste or do I need to buy it separately? If so, which Thermal Paste should I get?

No. The Processor doesn't come with thermal paste. However, you will need an additional cooling system to run this chip, and when bought new that cooling system will have paste pre-applied. I'm using the paste that came with my EVGA water cooler and it's doing a great job. I also bought some Kryonaut thermal grizzly paste, but I haven't had any reason to use it. Bought new, any air or water cooler adequate for this chip will have paste on the cooler. Most people will tell you that pastes isn't good enough. In my case it has been.

Can I use RAM that is DDR4 2133?

Considering the fun factor, should I get this to upgrade my 8700k, or get a motorcycle?

If you already have a 8700k it's probably not worth the pricey upgrade. Seeing gaming is largely still single thread intensive. You'll be good if you just delid and overclock your 8700k.

Is it worth upgrading to from an I7 8700K or a waste of money?

Depends on your use case. If you just game, it's not worth it. If you have single threaded CPU workloads then you'll probably also want to upgrade your Mobo to z390 and overclock. However with third gen AMD Ryzen surpassing the i9 9900k in most multi-threaded workloads, it might be worthwhile to consider that as well.

Will at Corsair H115i be sufficient to cool this processor?

It runs hot, no question. I opted for a Noctua D15 and run at a mild overclock and still hit mid 90s during longer benchmarks and gaming. My understanding is the H115i performs better, but not by that much. I'd set very conservative overclocking goals with this one.

Specs say this has hyperthreading but reviews say it doesn't. Which is it? Does this CPU have hyperthreading or not?

Are you reading reviews for the 9700K? That is an 8 core processor with 8 threads total. The 9900K is 8 cores and 16 threads total.

Does this product come with software to update the motherboard's BIOS to coffee lake refresh? If not is there a way to get it or do I need to get a whole new motherboard?

Support for this CPU depends on the motherboard manufacturer.  Your best bet is to go your  motherboards manufacturer support site and find the compatibility list.  It should tell you whether the CPU is supported and what version BIOS is needed.  You may also have to consider your CPU cooler as this does not come with one.
