I have a different power connector than the Seagate. Is there a conversion?

Assuming you are referring to the 4 pin power plug, then yes. Do a search for 4 Pin Molex to SATA Power Adapter

I'm confused the item description says 5-year warranty but under the 'Warranty" tab it says 1-year warranty?
