Can i use this to replace a ps3 hard drive?

Yes, It should work with no problems, anything that is 2.5" and is SATA will work with out issue, I can't say for sure what the maximum HDD capacity the PS3 supports though.

will this go in a dell?

Yes, this will fit into a newer Dell, if it has SATA connections. All SATA HDD, if you have a desktop, this will fit fine (with minor adjustments). If you have a laptop, this will fit beautifully. Make sure the partition is NTFS so you can install Windows. HDDs fresh from the store usually are formatted to NTFS, so you should have no worries there. Good luck -Andrew
