This drive 5TB 2.5" Seagate is defined as "Laptop Internal Hard Drive" - not only on Newegg, but on the Seagate website as well. Yet, I cannot find a single laptop that has a 15mm high bay so the drive can fit. Anybody knows of a laptop that I can fit the drive as internal?

This perfectly fit my Acer Predator G9-793.  Took 2 minutes to install, the bay for it was clearly designed to accommodate this thick internal laptop drive. 5Tb in a laptop!!! woohoo! and dirt cheap.

I'm not sure about the specs on the MSI but when I bought this drive I overlooked that it has a height of 15mm. That's twice as thick as the drive that I had in my laptop at the time. I just wanted this drive for an external case but it wouldn't fit the ones I had. I had to buy a larger one.

Even if it was I would not use it.  Purchased 12 of these had 50% failure in 60 days.  Could not get them replaced.

It is thicker (15mm) than a normal 2.5" internal laptop drive, so it may not fit.  Check your specs carefully

Not linely. It is 15mm thick meant for bad or tower. Laptops are typically 7 or 9  mm allowance

I have an Asus ROG GL502VS-DB71 and it would not fit in the position for a secondary drive. This drive is very thick. I am deployed to Iraq and use it as an external drive to hold all my media for the boring down times. It is about as thick as two regular drives stacked on top of each other. It has held up to the all the abuse here so I would recommend it as an external drive but would advise getting a good cover to carry it around in when not in use.
