This version does NOT have wifi correct? The "whats in the box" picture shows a wifi module though, what exactly is that for then?

Looks like a typo for "what's in the box". I believe there is a socket for a WiFi card should you choose to install your own later, but I've not taken the I/O shield off to check. You do need the "AC" version of this board if you want WiFi included.

Will this board be ready for Ryzen 3rd gen processors later this year?

Per AMD it will but will not support all the newer functions of the 3rd gen ryzen. But it will run on this board.

Did your motherboard box come wrapped in plastic?

No, I don't believe it was wrapped in plastic...and it was just shipped in a brown newegg box with paper filling. Hope this helps.

Can you put two m.2 SSD's in the dual NVMe M.2 at the same time? Will this result in lesser speeds for 1 slot if it was only slotted by itself?

Both drives will have their own x4 PCIe 3.0 lanes, no sharing. The second slot borrows 4 lanes from the second x16 slot. So with both M.2 NVME installed you'll have 8x for your GPU, 4x for your second slot, then 4x for each NVME drive.

I am considering a new AMD core build with this motherboard (along with a 2700X cpu). I have some old G Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16D-16GTZB RAM laying around. Will my RAM be sufficient for everyday use and maybe some mild overclocking (auto BIOS overclocking) without any major compatibility issues? Thanks!

With the steady bios revisions that have been rolling out, Im fairly certain you should have no problem. I'm running a 2700x also, could not be happier with this setup. FYI, make sure you seat your ram in the right slots if your only using 2 sticks.
